Why Louisville will terrify teams next year

Ok, I had to speak up. I was furious when someone mentioned NC State as a team that would probably be preseason ranked #2 behind Indiana, which I can understand since they return all 5 starters plus they're adding hanner parea and others.

Here are a few reasons why Louisville will be scary

they return 3 starters: Peyton Siva, Chane Behannan, Gorgui Dieng

they return the big east's top 6th man in Russ Smith

they've got PG Terry Rozier coming in (12th ranked PG nationally)

they're adding transfer Luke Hancock from George Mason who averaged 10, 4, and 4 two seasons ago.

Wayne Blackshear is going to be 100%, same with Rakeem Buckles

Mike Marra will be back for a 6th year

Elisha Justice and Kevin Ware will have expanded roles

This team made it to the final 4 this year... expect a really scary Cardinal squad next season

Totally agree. Kuric and

Totally agree. Kuric and Chris Smith are the only two players leaving, and they're both seniors. Kevin Ware has some serious upside. Also, don't forget about about Swopshire; he'll be back for a 5th year, as he was a re shirt junior last season. They should easily be in the hunt for a top 3 finish in the Big East and a possible number 1 seed come tourny time.

yeah, i think they'll be a contender for preseason number 1...But they must find a go to scorer, someone that can bail them out in close games,Pitino proved this year, how great a coach he was,by carrying this overachieving team to the Final 4....Maybe Blackshear will blossom into an all conference player next year,he has the talent....Dieng will be the best defensive center in the nation next season...

Louisville is gonna be this

Louisville is gonna be this years Cuse. They have depth coming out of their ears and only lose Swopshire(transfer), Chris Smith(graduation), Kyle Kuric(graduation).

Don't forget about Angel

Don't forget about Angel Nunez that has been riding the bench all year just learning. That tall lanky Motherf***er can really shoot the ball and is athletic.Man Louisville is just really deep. Also I think Russ will be a whole lot better next year.

Clearly this is in reference to me and I brought up why I think NC State is better. You left the thread to post this. All three recruits NC State brings in are better then Rozier and I don't think any are very close. Leiws is a far better PG, Purvis is a far better player, and so is Warren. Blackshear and Ware both shot about 29% last year, that's not exactly promising. You can't just assume two guys who couldn't even shoot 30% are going to be great guys to have. I don't see how it's not even close. Kuric and Chris Smith are far more significant losses then NC State's are. Obviously things will change if Leslie enters the draft (which I'm assuming he doesn't), but for you to say it's not even close and to actually get furious over it is quite laughable.

There's no doubt in my mind

There's no doubt in my mind that they will be a tough team especially with a healthy well conditioned Wayne Blackshear. Definitely NOT better than NC State or Indiana though.
