MagikKnickParticipantThey need to break up the big 3, its about time they started considering it
This season was suppose to be the season that they boosted themselves into to the 5 of the eastern conference, but instead there in the bottom half of the east
The big 3 isnt going nowhere, and they best trade them now while they still have some value

the I in winParticipanti agree if you trade jamison now you can get some good prospects/picks but he doesn’t have to many years left of effective play so now is the time. also butler is great, could easily get something good for him. i’m not sure if teams would risk a trade for arenas right now, he has played pretty bad this season so far and is coming of many serious injuries.

JNixonParticipantYea and Arenas’ contract is so devastating that the Wizards are likely stuck with it until it runs out in 2014 or 2015, whenever it expires…I agree that they should split up the team and develop their young guys (Nick Young, Blatche, McGuire, McGee etc..) so they can have a future to fall on…

bdoody42ParticipantWhat are some teams that would be looking for Jamison and Butler?
Jamison: I would say Cavs be good match. I dont how salaries woould workout but I think wizards would want some young pieces such as Hickson and some expiring contracts.
Butler: I think a place like New Orleans or Utah would be good locations. New Orelans could send young talent like Julian Wright or Marcus Thornton and an contract that would be expiring. Jazz could try to send Boozer To the Wiz for Butler but I’m not sure how that would work if Jamison was still there. After the season they could just let Boozer go and use that money elsewhere.
They really do need develop some their younger guys because this trio is obviosuly not working.

thetruthParticipantway before last season. anytime your team loses to a team three times in the playoffs. needs some changes. arenas cant be dealt because his fat contract and knee. butler and jamison both have to go.

wuteverParticipantim a wizards fan since I’m from the area. I knew signing arenas to that stupid contract would haunt us. How are you gonna pay 100 million to a guy that just came from injury… I love Caron but if we can get enough out of him it would be nice. I really think Jamison is the most tradeable one, he’s an awesome offensive threat and gets you the double double but he can’t defend worth sh*t. Wizards have a nice foundation with Mcgee, Young, Blatche and Mcguire. We really need a legit big like bosh or amare. Wizards have the players to be successful but we just haven’t played well, we play no defense.
