ctw724ParticipantNBA DRAFT BUZZ – The Big Network is reporting some pretty good SUPER TUESDAY SHOWDOWNS are getting ready to take place around the NBA.
CHICAGO BULLS: They are trying to set up a SHOWDOWN between DeJuan Blair, James Johnson, B.J. Mullens and Tyler Hansbrough. So far, the only MAN that has committed is DeJuan Blair. Tyler Hansbrough has dissed the Bulls and avoided DeJuan Blair by choosing a workout in New Jersey instead. We shall see, who else commits.
On a personal note, they NEED PITTBulls (DeJuan Blair, Sam Young or TWILL)…Go Bulls!!!
NEW JERSEY NETS: They have a SHOWDOWN set up with Jonny Flynn, Brandon Jennings, Terrence Williams and Gerald Henderson, along with Tyler Hansbrough for Tuesday.
MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES: Thabeet and Rubio don’t seem to want to be in Memphis. They both avoided scheduled workouts claiming injury. I guess James Harden’s workout didn’t go so well either.
Why not just draft Tyreke Evans? Isn’t he a PG, who played in Memphis already? Seems logical.
PHOENIX SUNS: They have a dead heat going between James Johnson and Earl Clark. I’m guessing they will be bringing those guys in for another look and a possible SHOWDOWN.
MILWAUKEE BUCKS: Look for a SHOWDOWN this week between Flynn, Holiday, Teague, Jennings and Lawson.

ctw724ParticipantIt seems like they may have narrowed it down to three players, Earl Clark, Austin Daye and B.J. Mullens.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI heard Mullens has no promise at 15.

acantareParticipantyou make it sound like tyler is avoiding blair, new jersy has the higher pick and he had previously man plans to play there on tuesday

gatorheelsParticipantHansbrough isn’t avoiding Blair I promise you. I would rather workout for New Jersey too. Higher pick equals higher payday. Dude get your head out of your a$$. Just because you love Pittsburgh players doesn’t mean you have to give biased opinions all the time.

ctw724ParticipantHe’s working out with Henderson, Williams, Flynn and Teague in New Jersey, instead of Blair, Mullens and Johnson for the Bulls. That’s avoiding competition anyway you look at it.

ctw724ParticipantI don’t love PITT, but I do think DeJuan Blair and Sam Young fit nicely with the Bulls. The clearly solve their two main draft needs, an paint presence and a taller versatile wing player. It just so happens they both go to PITT. Get off your cocky high horse…thank you.

ctw724ParticipantPeople should read other’s post before starting repeat topics.

gatorheelsParticipantYou act like there is only 3 guys in this draft that are good fits for the Bulls…..Blair, Young, & TWill. In reality there are a lot of players that would fit in great with the Bulls including Clark, Johnson, Calathes, Hansbrough just to name a few that are just as good as those 3 players you are in love with. Give these other guys the respect they deserve.

ctw724ParticipantThat would fit in nicely.

ctw724ParticipantI guess DeJuan Blair, B.J. Mullens and James Johnson will all be in Chicago on Tuesday, but still no Tyler Hansbrough siting.

ctw724ParticipantIt’s neck and neck, so I’m guessing they may make a trip back to Charlotte before Thursday.

gatorheelsParticipantI think TWill is better than Henderson.
Hansbrough hasn’t worked out for the Bulls at all yet?? I’m kinda surprised. I think Hansbrough & Noah would play great together considering they are both high energy guys. Blair brings a lot of emotion too which I like. He would play well with Noah too.
I agree about Tyreke. If the Grizzlies can’t trade the pick it seems logical that they should take Evans. Especially since Rubio, Thabeet, & Harden don’t really want to play there ha.

ctw724ParticipantClark chose Phoenix over Chicago…no repect needed there.
Hansbrough chose New Jersey over Chicago…no respect needed there.
Calathes is headed over seas…no respect needed there.
Johnson is a nice looking player, but projected to be a SF in the NBA, which they don’t need…I respect his talents, but he’s not for the Bulls.
Who else? I have given respect on here to DeRozan, Taylor, Dozier, Suton, Rice, Price, McNeal, Flynn and Curry. I’m looking at guys who I feel wouild be available to the Bulls and that could fit in nicely with them given their needs. It seems to me that DeJuan Blair, TWILL and Sam Young fit that description.

gatorheelsParticipantCalathes might play one year overseas…so what? He is still a great player. He could take some pressure off Rose. Plus he is a deadly shooter & fantastic passer.
I understand the thing about Clark. Phoenix has promised to pick him. You can’t really blame him though. In players’ eyes the higher they are picked the better.

ctw724Participantthat looks really good to me.
PG – Evans
SG – Mayo
SF – Gay
PF – Warrick
C – GasolThat’s not bad.

ctw724ParticipantAs far as I know, the Bulls only saw him at the Combine and maybe in a group workout setting. They have nothing listed as far as an individual workout with him.
I heard they want to get rid of the #26 pick. That most likely means trading up with N.J or I still think it could be Golden State. My guess is they will be bringing in some bigger guards like TWILL, Ellington, Henderson and/or Young on Wednesday. If they like TWILL over Blair or Johnson, I could see them trading up to #7 to get him.
Another thing I heard was that they may trade #26 to San Antonio for a few of their 2nd Round picks. I know they have brought in Jerel McNeal twice now, along with Leo Lyons among others. We’ll see shortly how it all plays out.

gatorheelsParticipantThis draft is deep. There will be a ton of solid players in the 2nd round. I would trade #26 to the Spurs for two 2nd round picks no doubt. McNeal is a good player, he would blend well with Rose I believe. I really like Leo’s game, he is a bit more polished offensively than Tyrus or Noah.

ctw724ParticipantThat should be the case for the Bulls. It’s reported they really like Terrence Williams, so I would be shocked if he isn’t called back for a workout on Wed.

ctw724ParticipantMonday – Worked out for Charlotte, who picks #12 (MJ was there).
Tuesday – Working ouf for New Jersey, who picks #11.
Wednesday – Chicago? I’m thinking so. The Bulls need a taller guard and have worked both of them out already.
Stay Tuned.
