ghettosermonParticipantDiscussion thread for all the games. Spain and France playing right now. Damn Boris Diaw is so fat. He’s winded 2 minutes into the game. Looks like we will see the same old France. They are the 2nd most athletic team after US yet they just float on the perimeter and chuck 3’s.

McWinningParticipantRudy Fernandez should be traded, he just needs a chance to start, he plays way freer as a starter, and the trailblazers used him wrong.

ghettosermonParticipantRubio is a sick passer but I think his inability to break down guys and finish strong inside over bigs will hurt in the NBA game. He also needs to keep working on that outside shot. I think he’s still a few years away from being a true impact NBA player. Spain looks real good. France of course is show low basketball IQ and teamwork. Gelabale needs to cut his friggin hair.

OhCanada-ParticipantFrance maybe the 2nd most athletic team, but they are definitely the 1st most overrated team. I see them struggling to come out of the Division.
#1-Spain- Worldwide favourite.
#2-Lithuania- With Motiejunas and Valanciunas soon to debut International on the mans team Lithuania has a new excitement and enthusiasm in international basketball. They are already ranked #6 in the world and have a very good team led by Toronto Raptor Lienis Klieza. Lithuania may have the best fans in the world and the best passion for basketball.
#3-Canada- Like Lithuania Canada has an abundance of young talent developing soon to be on the mens team. The excitement, and will to win is now through the roof and they will be fighting extremely hard to qaulify. Led by Anthony, Rautins (the first young star to usher in the “new-era” of Canadian basketball) Denham Brown and Jereme Anderson Canada expects to be very successful.
#4-France- France does have very good NBA calibur players on this team such as Diaw, Batum, Mahinmi, players that have been to the NBA Gelebale, and players striving to get to the NBA like De Colo. Although these players are all taking on new international roles they are not used to having at this level, and just like the mens soccer team, I think that they will not co-exist.
#5-New Zealand- Hardworking BLUECOLLAR team that should give everyone they face a tough game.
#-6-Lebanon- Meh

ghettosermonParticipantESPN 360, and how can you call Canada contenders and say Meh to Lebanon when Lebanon beat Canada by 10 today? Lebanon is one of the more physically strong teams they are no walkover.

ghettosermonParticipantGod what a great game. It has the atmosphere of an NCAA tourny game. Gelabale is playing great. If he could have had a more consistent jump shot he’d still be in the league with his defense and athleticism. Gotta say I do respect Diaw. I knocked him for his weight but he is playing hard this whole game. Great passer and screen setter. Still can’t shoot though.

ghettosermonParticipantGood for France! They played like Men today, played hard and tough and didn’t complain about fouls. Spain on the other hand have played like a bunch of 13 year old girls, crying, acting, and rolling on the ground. Who rolls on the ground when they jam their finger. Grow some balls.
