Worst dreams realized
i feel your pain, brother. this is the one guy that i DID NOT want. pick jeff teague, dejuan blair, b.j. mullens, or chase budinger for chrissakes. even if we're gonna take the character pick (and i'm assuming this has to be the reason, because there is no other earthly reason to take a guy who would've likely fallen to our 2nd round pick), how much character and work ethic does it show for a guy to never step foot in the weight room his entire life? he's tied with me for the number of reps with the 180lb bar at the draft combine. and i'm almost certain i could beat his vertical, too. we basically picked an awkward, unathletic project who's too slow to play outside and too weak to set foot inside. but, boy, look at that wingspan! bad, bad pick. i thought only the lions could bum me out this much, but at least with them i don't expect anything...
When things couldn't get any worst, Joe Dumars has officially lost my allegiance. Austin Daye has bust written all over him and yet he takes him. James Johnson was available, so was DeJuan Blair, but he takes the weakest player in the draft. Can I make a reservation for the lottery right now or do I have to wait a couple months?
