Worst starter in the league?
Austin Rivers or Landry Fields
I am not a Fields hater by any means. I liked the aquisition (not necesarily the price tag though).
But he has been looking terrible out there so far. I do feel a little bad for the guy and hope he turns it around. Just has to get his head back in the game and I think he will be fine (I hope)
haha i saw this thread and instantly thought fields as well. Guys has been absolute garbage this year. I didn't hate the pickup (minus the ridic contract) but so far he doesn't deserve to be getting more than 15 mins a game. The problem is, who else is going to take those minutes at the 3 spot for the raps
Sam Young
Landry Fields... I dont know what happened to him after his rookie year. He and Jeremy Lin both got NY Hype Express-ed into new contracts. At least Lin is producing.
Brendan Haywood?
It was Eddy Curry but that didn't last long lol
Remenber when everybody was saying Fields was better then Turner and George?
Anyways Alan Anderson should be starting for the Raps that guys an OG whose put more then enough time in and deserves to finally get some recognition.
Thank god Jodie Meeks no longer plays for the Sixers so he can't make this list.
I wanna say Willie Green because part of me remenber him always starting when A.I. got hurt and then going out and trying to play like A.I. and it would be embarrasing. Another part of me wants to say the whole Hornets starting 5. Alonzo Gee looks really out of place this year.
I think the worse starter in the league is Paul Milsap because he's starting over Kanter and Favors.
You crazy, bro.
The worst starter is AJ Price, he makes me miss Shelvin Mack dearly :( And Jannero Pargo doesn't help...
I picked Milsap based on who he is playing in front of. I think it's one of the worse descicions in the league to keep Milsap while Kanter and Favors rust away on the bench. It's not as bad as Collins starting Jodie Meeks over Evan Turner for a year and a half but it's still a bad call.
And AJ Price is better then Shelvin Mack. If you're missing Shelvin Mack then the state of your team must be really really bad. I said it at the time and I'll say it again, the Wiz should of drafted Barnes, Drummond, or Jeremy Lamb. Drummond because of his potential and Nene's injury history, but Barnes and Lamb were the wing scorers the Wiz really needed to compliment Wall. Barnes may of been the best pure shooter in the draft and Lamb reminds me of a young Rip Hamilton the way he's able to curl off screens and knock down mid range jumpers.
Worst answer in this entire thread.
As long as Millsap's on the team, he should be starting. He's the best 2 way player on the team, he's easily still better than both Favors and Kanter and he's also the better complement to Al Jeff because he can play in space. And no, Favors and Kanter are not "rusting" on the bench. They're in the rotation.
Fields is struggling with his shooting, but I guarantee he is not the worse starter in the league. He hits the boards too hard (out of the SG position) to be the worst in the league and also contributes some pretty heady play all around the court. Scoring has always been a little bit of an afterthought for him. He scores opportunistically. His shooting will return to form and he will contribute plenty and justify that contract, in my opinion.
Funny, I was just looking up Rivers's stats when I saw this thread. A nice 20% from the field. Problem is that scoring is what Rivers is supposed to do. He's never contributed anything else but scoring, so if you aren't getting that then you have a real problem.
rivers wont start when the whole team is healthy and then u have to say who would u rather have rivers or darious miller(started in his place)....ill take rivers
WizKid got it. For someone that just started watching basketball you might think Rodney Stuckey. Anyone know what's up with him? I know its early but is he injured?
Fields-stuckey easy targets.
What about the "steves" from the lakers...
Ariza beastin' too at 4-2-2-2...4/18 FG as a starter.
2 games against the celts, 36 minutes, 2 pts 3 assists 2 boards 3 steals 1/10, niceee.
He's actually been playing well though.
Everyone thinks James Johnson is better at basketball than Landry Fields? Fields can shoot it a little bit at least. AJ Price doesn't count, injury fill in.
I just like talking basketball. People need to watch James Johnson play again if they think it is that crazy to suggest he is the worst starter in the league.
I don't think you lost points for saying James Johnson. I think you lost points for not explaining why. I think it's important to explain yourself especially when creating a thread.
The Clippers are a really good team, but their starting Willie Green, who has never been very good IMO. Just a strategy of having a great 6th man. Willie Green is a solid role player, but as a starter, he's gotta be one of the worst in the league.
I really like Willie Green. I think he is a player every team wants but yea, as a starter he is definitely on the lower levels. It's just hard to he negative for a guy that has worked his way to where he is. He is the epitome of hard work in this league. I still think he is a better starter than Steve Blake. Haha. Both guys are starting only because if injury though.
It sucks for Willie, but when Chauncey gets back, Willie could be out of the rotation all together. Green's actually been off to a good start shooting the ball, but he's not a starter in this league.

My vote: James Johnson
