BasketballGuru24ParticipantI Think They Have Suffered The Worst week In Sports History, They might lose their franchise player to a career Threatening injury (Yao), their most consistent player and probably their best was lost to free agency( Artest), and now they struggle with a Extremely Small Frontcourt, and a injury prone “Superstar” ( Tmac)…..Can Anyone HAve a Worse Week Then This ??
Name any Sports Team That Had a week Like This And Explain What Has Happen??

RickyRubio9ParticipantOh my gawd, another Rockets post…Guys this is depressing for me, honestly. I live and die with this team, but I couldn’t have expected anything like this…EVER. I guess…we aren’t meant to win or something. True Contenders to Nothing in a week. Who would’ve thought, to make Matters worse, Artest went to the Lakers…and we got Ariza? WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER SF??? We have Shane…I would’ve looked for a SG/SF type. We also need a Center…just in case. Can things get any worse for us? Please Yao…please…come back.

NJnetskiddParticipantDetriot trading away Billups for A.I. which lead to the alienation of RIP… down fall of the season…firing of the coach… implosion of the team… over paying for Ben Gordon and Charlie V.

uneik1ParticipantIt may not have happen in a week but it was pretty close. My Mets lost their starting shortstop and leadoff man (Jose Reyes), cleanup hitter (Carlos Delgado), best all round player on the team (Carlos Beltran) and 2/5th of the starting rotation and setup man. Even the backup shortstop, catcher and first call up from the minor leagues got hurt around the same time.
On a related note. I hope the Knicks and Rockets can work out a trade of Eddy Curry and Larry Hughes for Tracy McGrady. Cap wise it will work and I think it makes sense for both teams, unless the Rockets can find a better available center.
Yes I am a Mets fan and Knicks fan. What can I say. I love misery!

BasketballGuru24ParticipantI really Like That Trade You Suggested…Really Works For A Desperate Team ( Rockets) and the Knicks are throwing some big money players away so they clear space , for 2010 Nice thought man

llperezTmac is expected to miss the first 30 or so games to begin the season. To think just a week ago I started a thread on next years title contenders and had them 4th. Now they are gonna be battling the Clips, thunder, and Warriors for trying not to suck. Oh well, Aaron Brooks looks solid…
