My fellow WWE fans, it’s our "superbowl"! Wrestlemania looks stacked with great matches and I’m looking forward to seeing it and maybe getting your reactions if anything crazy happens. Also, it’s placed neatly in the off-topic section, not bothering anyone, so if anyone comes in here saying, "Dude, wrestling is fake!" — yeah, we all know and you can go f*ck yourself lol

3 Questions I’ll ask my fellow fans

    1) Who will win – Taker or HHH?

This is the last of the dying breed of great WWE stars we grew up watching and they not only have a Hell-in-the-Cell match but HBK is guest referee. I see Taker winning in an epic match BUT only because HBK screws of HHH leading to one last match between HBK and HHH down the line

    2) Who wins Cena VS Rock?

A match that has been advertised for over a year now! I think it will be a good match but I can’t see the Rock winning this one. He’s not staying around at all so why make him win the biggest match IMO

    3) Who wins Jericho vs Punk?

This on paper alone will be the best wrestling match. Both are the best in the game right now and will put on a show. I dunno who will win because it can go either way honestly.

Yeah I know Taker won’t lose. 20-0 will be his legacy when he’s retired BUT its the way he will win that gets me thinking lol

Y2G – what rumors did you hear?

Brock and Batista are both confirmed to be in Miami negotiating contracts. It’s almost a guarantee Brock shows up for the next Raw, but there is a possibility they both show for Mania.

I doubt Taker would ever lose at Mania unless it was to put a young guy over to take him to the next level and make him Rock/Austin/Cena level huge. So I see the Deadman going to 20-0.

Florida is the Rock’s home state but Cena is the full time wrestler, so logically I see Cena winning unless they Vince wants to see the Rock posing on all 4 turn buckles at the end to get a lot of mainstream media coverage. The one swerve could be, will Cena turn heel, this has long been rumoured and with Punk, Orton, Sheamus all faces then a hel turn could be done. Add in the possible Lesnar return who could fill a heel or face role then the Cena turn could be the biggest one since Hogan at Bash on the Beach in 1996. Also if Jericho goes off on another Fozzy tour then more heels could well be needed.

Punk vs Jericho could well be the best match of th night if they give it 25 to 30 minutes, either guy could go over and the feud be extended, the next PPV is aparently in Punk’s home state so logically he goes over there. For that reason alone and with it being the biggest rematch from Wrestlemania I favour Jericho here with Punk winning at the next PPV.

The thing I love about The Streak is that he has offered to end it numerous times, and the other person refuses to take it. I think the first person he offered to lose to was Orton (who used to be a massive d-bag) so that means quite a bit for someone like that to say no. Pretty sure Edge, Batista and one other guy were offered to end it to.

The Streak started to mean something maybe 10 years ago, unless the Taker has ny creative control over his contract then he’d be expected to put the other guy over if required. In recent years he has fought other veterans so they would have no issue in putting Taker over.

Taker hasn’t wrestled for a year so if he can continue to be in good enough shape to have decent matches then I could see him having a few more Mania’s in him. Think of it from a business point, if he hardly ever wrestles then his appearances will generate a lot of PV buys and money for the company.

    1) Who will win – Taker or HHH?

WWE will be crazy to lett HHH beat Taker as he gains nothing from winning. 20-0

    2) Who wins Cena VS Rock?

WWE put themselves in a pickle with this one. If Rock wins, it does nothing for the company going forward, as he’s not a full time wrestler, and because of this, the guys who do wrestle full-time will be mightily pissed if he does beat the face of the wwe. If Cena wins, anti-Cena fans will be pissed at Cena and will hate him even more, and I don’t buy that I-don’t-care-what-the fans-think crap Cena always pulls (If he really didn’t care, he wouldn’t acknowledge it and WWE wouldn’t let Rock say those things about him). I’m hoping that somehow it’s a draw, but Rock winning would be the worst outcome.

    3) Who wins Jericho vs Punk?

Matches like this are what I hate about WWE. Jericho finally returns to WWE after weeks of speculation (but seriously, real marks know that it couldn’t have been anyone else, except for maybe Taker), and after weeks of trolling, loses to Sheamus in the royal rumble (btw I bet 1 year from now, WWE fans will have a tough time remembering who won the 2012 royal rumble), comes back and announces a grudge against CM punk, and after weeks of solid build up, this match goes from bitw vs bitw to being about Punks personal life. Man, which 2nd grader writes for WWE? Sorry for the rant. Punk wins, no way Jericho wins.

Here’s a mini list of my prediction for the matches that nobody wants to see:

Dark Match: Primo & Epico vs. Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd vs. Usos

First off, WWE doesn’t care about the Tag Team division, so why should I care. But for the sake of this post, I have the Colons retaining their pennies, I mean their titles.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus

Daniel Bryan’s title run has been underwhelming. Sheamus hasn’t loss since where’s Bin Laden jokes were relevant. Do I have to do the math?

Btw I find it funny how this match is for the heavyweight title, when last year, this match, for the US title, got left off the card.

Intercontinetal Title Match: Cody Rhodes vs Big Show

I’m no Booker T, but if I had a top 5, Mr. Rhodes would be at the top of my list (followed by Mr. Zig Zag man, Wade Barrett, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, I’m waiting for Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to debut to kick the last 2 guys off). Although Rhodes title run has been uneventful (except for the chaging of the belt part, that was cool) I hope he doesn’t job to Big Show. I expect Rhodes to ‘take a big show’ on the Big show.

    Randy Orton vs. Kane

For the 2nd straight year, Randy Orton, having nothing to do gets in a random feud. This time his victim is Kane. No way Orton loses.

Team Teddy vs Team Johnny for control of both Raw and Smackdown

Its funny how WWE is quietly ending the brand extension era, with introducing both Raw supershow and having only one GM. As much as I hate John Laurinaitis (if you don’t got it, get it. If you don’t get it, figure it out) Teddy does nothing for WWE except suck up to faces and book tag team matches on SD. Laurinaitis has more going for him at this moment. Whatever way possible, his team wins. BTW, that Askana, although funny at times, was completely pointless, but WWE has that track record (seriously, I will pay off someones debt if they could tell me who the mystery raw general manager was).

Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres

Here’s the match of the night, or at least the one when I plan to take my pee break. Before you guy label me a misogynist, I would like you to know that I would have been more than thrilled if Beth Phoenix put her title on the line against Kharma (btw my deepest condolences go out to her). Here’s the golden rule: celebrity guests don’t lose at Wrestlemania. I wouldn’t expect it to be any different this time.

Daniel Bryan got absolutely buried tonight. I can’t say i’m all that surprised, Vince McMahon always places marketability and size over actual wrestling ability, but they did a pretty good job with his WHC push so I thought things might have changed. Sadly, I was wrong. Not only does it bury Daniel Bryan, but it buries the championship in general when they throw 30 second matches like these together. Not only that, but it downgrades Sheamus’ win. The moments not as special if he wins the title after a 30 second gimmick match rather then winning it in a great wrestling match that gets the crowd into it (something both of them were capable of putting on), and it makes him look less relevant by winning with a cheap shot rather then winning like a classic face. I thought they were trying to establish Sheamus as a capable performer?

So really, nobody wins from this. And for what, another 5 minutes that will likely go to promoting the Cena/Rock match by recapping sh** we only saw 6 nights ago? Yeah, that’s productive air time.

So we got a squash world title match, a celebrity over the womens champion (again, downgrades the title), and Big Show winning a match that does very little for his momentum anyways and would have had a much larger positive impact on Cody Rhodes? For a card I was really looking foward too, this has been a pretty dissapointing show to this point. At least the Taker/HHH match lived up to the billing though. Hopefully Jericho/Punk can save this for me.

Jericho/Punk lived up to the hype as well. Great match! I agree with Coolidger though. 30 minute squash matches really belittle the meaning of the World Championship. WWE didn’t handle that Sheamus match right.

BUT HOLD UP! SOMEBODY CALL MY MOMMA!! If I was to change my name on here, it would be the Funk-a-saurus or Somebody Call My Momma. Look at these mommas putting in work!

I didn’t see the point of having Seamus win a squash, I know some smarts have posted on Wrestling forums that the WWE wanted to have the quickest match ever. They could have done that with Brodus Clay perhaps by putting him in quick squash match.

Squash matches for major titles should only ever be done to try to build up a monster heel or face not really an established guy like Seamus. Still Bryan had a decent run as champ so can maybe move on to  decent feud or at least have a competitive re-match.

Don’t forget Christian and Del Rio are nearly back and with maybe Cody and Ziggler moving up to main event level then Bryan may have to wait his turn again.

(Si Si Si for those Alberto fans)

I gotta say as someone that gave up on wwe wrestling years agp that crowd monday was the best I have seen in a long long long time.

I kind of like that Giant Bernard/Lord Tensai/Albert is back but I hate the gimmick and I knew fans would give him a hard time. I hope he gets to show the progress he made in New Japan instead of being limited to 4 moves (and squashing the same scrubs we just watched Brodus Clay go through)

For some reason im just not excited about Brock being back.
