JoeWolf1Anyone watching?
Kevin Jones and the Caveman are owning the glass. Drummond looks like he’s barely trying, he’s gotten out hustled or put in poor position multiple times in the early going.

Johnny ChillIf Uconn runs the Big East table and wins the conference tournament they are back in the Big Dance.
So what if they lose today or the next game? Are they even on the bubble?

HaleParticipantI’m a fan of Drummond and all, but isn’t a bit worrying that he doesn’t even shoot 30% from the line? I know plenty of bad FT shooters, but that’s beyond awful.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantY’all know I am watching.. I missed class today for this.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantBtw, KJ is spot guarding Lamb.. Should be interesting to see because Jones is an underrated defender on the wing.

JoeWolf1Lamb is going off though, he has half of U-Conn’s points including deep jumpers over Jones.

The8thDeadlySinParticipant1 over Jones.. Others were on Truck, Brown, and Rutledge.

billykParticipantDrummond needs to get some touches, the UCONN guards are straight gunners! As a big when your not getting touches you start to become disinterested in the game…

The8thDeadlySinParticipantDid Drummond just air all a free throw?

mikeyvthedonParticipantSuch a frustrating team. There guards keep making really poor decisions. Jones has been incredibly difficult to stop from what I have seen, do not think Drummond is slacking. Still, remember when Drummond had 20 and 11 when they beat West Virginia last time? Why not attack them down low and give him some confidence? Just do not get UConn. Think that they make the tournament regardless of this game (as should West Virginia), but winning would definitely help.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantUCONN has a ton of pros on their team…

JoeWolf1They’re built like a championship team, they just don’t play like one.

JoeWolf1Awful shot by Napier, he got them back in the game, but settling for a 25 footer with no chance for a rebound?? dumb!
Good for you 8th!

The8thDeadlySinParticipantWe will find a way to blow this game after a 9 point lead..

kbrittParticipantUConn needs to utilize their bigs more. Guard play is great with Napier, Lamb, Boatright, but you have Oriakhi and Drummond. Drummond has not played anywhere near what he should, but he shows flashes of greatness. UConn can go very far in this tournament, and in March.

Mr. 19134ParticipantWest VA came prepared today for Drummond they weren’t gonna let him get 20 and 10 like he did on them in the last game they played against each other. Kevin Jones was like a man among boys in the game down low. What scares me about Drummond is as big as he is he loses his position in the post really fast or either doesn’t even get it. He’s so quick for his size it’s awesome to watch. But I’m just starting to notice that he doesn’t finish with his left hand alot, even on the left side of the rim Drummond will switch it back to his right, he’s gonna have to fix that because it’s the reason he didn’t get the and one late in the game, and got rim blocked with his right.
Has anybody noticed Drummonds shot blocking numbers for his last like 7 games? I know he’s getting over 3 a game in that span and had a bunch of games with 4, this is a very positive sign and the more Drummond becomes a force on defense the better chance UConn has at actually winning.
Like I said on the underrated PG thread that I don’t like Napiers desiscion making, he’s too trigger happy, and never find the open man. One quick example is late in the game Drummond actually had his defender sealed off low on the block which don’t happen often and instead of rewarding his big man he launches a 3, which went in tho. I like Boatwright, he’s super explosive and plays smart.
Glad to see Jeremy Lamb finally getting his groove back. Coming into the season I had Lamb number 1 one my National Player of The Year ranking. It’s easy to see I whiffed that completely. I was feeling good too because last year I called going into the season that Kemba and Jimmer were probably gonna be shootin for the award and wow did people flip a lid about me having Kemba Walker on there, this was before the Maui tournament.
But I’ll tell you when I’m off and this season hasn’t played out nothing like I expected. for the most part which is in large part do to UConn underachieving as if Drummond and Lamb. But they can make it up for it with a huge run here now.
I got a question….How tall is Jeremy Lamb and don’t gimme 6’5 cuz that’s his listing…He got a 7’1 wingspan and seems to be about 6’6 to me if not 6’7" or maybe its the fro. But his build is very narrow. Wht do you guys think.?

carefulParticipantHonestly, I live on UConn campus and walk past Jeremy Lamb all of the time…and even though he does look really tall because of his length, I don’t think he’s much taller than 6’5. He might be 6’6. Boatright on the other hand is about 5’10 and Shabazz is pretty small too at around 5’11.
The problem with this UConn team is that they only play hard on both ends of the floor when they get a little bit of momentum going. You could see that at the end of the game and OT after Shabazz made some plays they started boxing out and playing better defense. They just need to give more effort when their shots aren’t falling

The8thDeadlySinParticipantDamn.. I am glad we are Big 12 bound now. I don’t like to blame the refs but we get hosed on alot of calls and on a side note KJ not getting POY is a crime.. I’m probably just pissed right now so everything comes out negative…

JNixonParticipantWho exactly does Truck Bryant think he is? He is way too shaky with his shot selection. West Virginia was a bad team when Kilica (sp?) went out. They couldnt hit water if they fell out of a boat

JNixonParticipantAlso, can someone cut off the electricity in whatever building Doris Burke is in or snip the cords to her microphone so that we can’t hear her? Or can someone get her the f*ck away from anything that has to do, looks like, or resembles a sphere shaped object or anything that has to do with a rim, court, and backboard? She’s terrible.

providencefriars1ParticipantI agree with you JNix about her being annoying but she was one of the best players ever at Providence college
