wvu vs purdue
Kevin Jones isn't a very talented player, but last year before his role expanded he was the most energetic player in the nation IMO. He was always around the ball and he stayed on the move. I don't have a comparison, but he'll be a role player in the NBA who gets offensive rebounds and makes mid-range shots and gets garbage points. He's not like Aldridge because he plays harder and has WAY less talent and skill.
I'm from Logan co. in WV. So I see quite a bit of WVU and one thing I can say is that KJ is not a skilled player. kinda plays similar to Elias Harris. Last year it K.J. not Ebanks or Butler who were the key to victories, it was K.J. who was the catalyst. You pretty much knew what you were getting with 3Banks and Da'Sean, but when K.J. was hitting his 3 ball and crashing the glass with Devin, WVU was a TOUGH team to beat who could sneak up on anyone. This year having lost the threat of Butler and Ebanks, Jones has taken a larger role in the offense and therefore isn't having nearly as much energy for all of the little things, which are what make him a prospect to begin with. Don't let his size fool you, he's a pf who MAY be able to develop into a 3. Gained too much weight, and hasn't developed his ball handling. Lost a bit in terms of quickness with his added weight. Could still possibly develop into a Jumaine Jones type of 3 who mainly camps and is strong enough to D up the Pierce's,Melo's, and maggette's of the league. Haven't made a decision on Mitchell yet.
Your from Logan County? I live in Mercer Co... I think that Jones is a Paul Milsap type player.. He can be a solid starter if he has a PG that can create... Mitchell is a player in the NBA but he needs a shot... All he has to do is get with a team and stick there.. Honestly, I think he plays alot like Marcus Tornton or Toney Douglas and could do it in the NBA given the chance...

I can somewhat see the Millasap comparison, but overall I don't think he's nearly the rebounder Millsap was in college, isn't quite as versatile. Millsap has a VERY underestimated skillset. He's really surprised me since his college days. Never expected him to become the player his is. Self-made player who never stops working on his game. Proof that with average athleticism, a good work ethic maximizing your body, and a passion to get bet better can leave unlimited potential.
Nah, I'm graduated. I'm 23. Went to Man High School. I was talking about Lakers vs. Bobcats lol. Going towards NC is about the only time I'm ever in your area. Harvey Arms was the coach for our team and he stuck with his boys. Plus I smoked way too much pot in highschool to pass drug test. We've had a lot of leagues though since I've graduated that we play at the old Jr. High. You still in school?
Right on.I'm just now getting to know class as they're all just starting to party and come to the bars and such. If Man would have had Joe Sharpe coaching,I would have played in a heartbeat, but with Harvey Arms as coach, no way would I dare join. Especially knowing how his love for Andrew McDonald, and Brandon Duncan were.
whats up fellas havent posted in a while but ive been checkin the forum everyday anways..some game goin on with these teams thank god bc the football games been terrible lol but i was just wonder who you guys would compare kevin jones to,,off the top of my head i cant really think maybe a small/poor man lamarcus aldridge and even thou hes having a bad game what do u guys think of casey mitchell..his game probably doesnt translate to the nba but whats ur opinion of him bc i like him as a player
