xbox360 vs ps3
ya i have a ps3 and cant complain. i love playing online and thats free and the graphics are better. the blu ray player is cool but i have to buy 25 to 30 dollar movies now, but i guess it was going to happen anyway. but i had an original xbox and loved the games on there(fable, halo, star wars kotor) and havent really found a game only on ps3 that i loved.

I prefer the Xbox 360 but the PS3 is a good console as well. Both are exceptional for moderate to hardcore gamers. With the xbox comes a better online fanbase as well as more games. However, Microsoft has really hurt themselves when they pushed out a product with faulty hardware as well as not having blu-ray drives. Who wants to send their xbox in for repairs or play a game on two discs? The PS3 has free online play and harnesses a stronger graphics engine, although the differences between both are not too significant. In the end, the Nintendo Wii is outcompeting both consoles by targeting light and casual gamers in the younger generations. The Wii is a great present to give to children.
I have all three the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the WII. I think the xbox360 is the best I like online better and there is a better variety of games for the xbox and like llperez fable is a great game i cant wait for fable 3 to come out. The downside of the 360 is the red ring of death I had to buy a new one because of that it sucks that they breakdown like that. The playstation does have better graphics though I have to give that to the PS3 but overall the 360 is better. The WII is a kid system but it does have some good games for the older crowd that remembers the original zelda, punchout, mario, metroid etc thats the only reason i have the wii for those types of games.
i got the 3 rings of death about 5 months ago for my xbox. I dont even play it much. However, i just went to the xbox online site and they sent me a stamp for pre paid shipping and i didnt have to have any reciepts or confirm my warranty or anything, they just took care of it for free.
from what I have heard about 20% of the 360's eventually get the red ring which really sucks. I did the towel trick for the longest and it would work for about 5-6 hours but each time i did it the time would be less and less until eventually the towel trick didnt work. Thats when i knew it was time to get a new one.
I have a ps3 and mine got the yellow light of death and im thinking about getting a 360 but i heard about the ring of death my ps3 been broke since february i got send it to sony but that cost 150 and i have the money but school starts aug 25th so im buying shoes and clothes.
PS3 yellow light of death sucks if you dont turn your ps3 off right like i did you will get it.
I had red ring before and it sucks. I didn't try the towel trick because I heard that it can damage your 360. But when I got red rig, I sent it to Xbox, they fixed it for free, and they set it back to me in 5 days. They sent it back quicker than expected.
I didnt know the Ps3 had a yellow ring thats good to know its crazy how these systems are way more advanced then when i was growing up but they breakdown like this yet I had a Nintendo, and Sega genesis and never had those type of problems with them growing up. And I do think the towel trick messes it up more but at the time i didnt care I just wanted to play the game it was a quick fix.
ive never heared of the yellow light thing... but ive owned 2 xbox 360's and they have both gotten the ring... the online is way better... but i would still go with the ps3... online is free... it plays blue-ray (blue ray players are expensive here in canada) and the graphics are better... but i really only play sports games and COD thats about it...

whats better? I ahve a 360 and halo and fable are maybe my two favorite games of all time and they are 360 exclusives. I also hear that the 360 online blows ps3's online away. However ps3 has better graphics doesnt break down and has a blue ray player, and has some pretty sick exclusives as well such as heavy rain and that gods of war game. So what do you guys prefer?
