Espn reported this afternoon that Yao’s foot injury isn’t career threatening and could return in the 2009-2010 NBA season. Do you think the Rockets could make a surge for the playoffs when Yao gets back or do you think they will be too far behind in the west?

I dont think they will make the playoffs there never healthy. I think they should trade Yao and Tmac and start rebuilding and maybe they can get a high pick in the draft and get a star player to build around.

A surge, because McGrady will be 100% and playing by the season opener, he can lead a team to the playoff’s, but without Yao they will fall short of advancing. They Should try and keep stall Yao for as long a possible.

Once McGrady is a free agent next year, replace him with another Top Star from the 2010 FA Class. He is the highest paid player which will give us plenty of money. Say hello to Bosh or Johnson? If it is Bosh, let Scola walk as he is a FA as much as it pains me. Bosh and Yao form the Twin Towers for 10-11. Then if we suck, we’d have a top Draft Pick in next years draft which could be our next potential star. 😀 Bam, supporting cast, the bigs, and a young star. I don’t think we need to rebuild, more like replace. If Yao wasn’t injured I would think some of the bigger stars would love to play along side Yao (Global Icon) and in Houston (4th Largest City)
