Justin Verlander has been officially named the cover athlete of MLB 2K12. I assume most of you will find this rather fitting considering he was the most dominate player in baseball this past season.
I, as a Cardinals fan would have liked to seen David Freese or even Lance Berkman, but 2K has a code and it was going to be an A.L. player and I'm glad it was Verlander.
The other athletes I found suitable for the honor: Miguel Cabrera, Jacoby Ellsbury, Adrian Gonzales, Mark Teixeira, Curtis Granderson, Jose Bautista, Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson, Josh Hamilton, and Adrian Beltre.
