Mr. JewboyParticipantPaul George definitely has to be on there- the best player on the 1st placed team in the East, and its not that he doesnt have the numbers-22ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.5 apg and 2 spg, all this while being one of the better defenders this year. BTW he’s played every single game this year
Even if it means taking Carmelo out, although he had a good scoring year yet again he didnt even make the playoffs in the EAST!

Rip255Paul George for Carmello? Possibly. Good stats vs good record arguement. But Carmello was hitting 28 points per game at 45%. Thats pretty much all anyone can do so I stick with him.

Rip255If you’re saying he’s too high…4th in the league in scoring, 3rd in the league in rebounding, 3rd in the league in efficiency, 3rd in the league in Win shares.
If you’re saying he’s too low….you may be right. But Aldridge and Griffin were on teams with great records and that’s the unwritten rule, like it or not.

MrManalo43ParticipantI think Noah’s gonna win the DPOY, but he’s gonna get 2nd team all defense just like Gasol last year. AD’s gonna get that top center on the 1st Team All-Defense.

sunset rubdownParticipantDragic should make 2nd Team All-NBA. Only two guards are having better season than him and that`s Paul and Curry, imo.

G – Chris Paul

F – Kevin Durant
F – LeBron James
C – Joakim Noah
2nd Team All-NBA:
G – Goran Dragic

Jco4ParticipantI Agree with the two posters above me, as a Clippers fan I’d love to see DJ take a spot in an all NBA team. However you have to give Al Jefferson a spot, he has just been dominant this year and is a big reason behind the Bobcats playoff push. Jordan should win most improved player.
And secondly, Dragic already got an all star snub, he deserves a place. He’s had a remarkable season.

Jester87ParticipantIs Paul George listed as a guard or as a forward? It’s pretty tough anyhow, it’s hard to ignore Carmelo because of both his reputation and his individual production, even if his team sucked. It’s even tougher for Kevin Love, I mean, the Timberwolves have been disappointing, but they still had a .500 season or close to that (depending on how they will play the remaining games) and missed the playoffs mostly because the West is incredibly loaded, they would’ve been probably a top 3 seed team playing in the East. You have to throw in at least one player from San Antonio even if their stats aren’t that impressive, I mean it would be horrendous if none of the players from the best team in the league made one of the all Nba teams. Also, some guys (especially Paul George, but also Lillard, even if in my opinion he doesn’t belong at this point) haven’t played that well in the second half of the season, but they were outstanding in the first half and play for great teams. The Pacers have been bad after the all star break, but they’ve been the best team in the league for 3 months and George looked like a legit MVP candidate. You can’t ignore that. I mean you can’t overreact because of their struggles in the last month or so.
I’m afraid someone between Dragic, Nowitzki and Al Jefferson (or worse, all of them) will stay out and it would really suck because they’ve all been outstanding. Also Dragic and Jefferson were all star snubs, I think they deserve something in the awards. I mean, if Dragic doesn’t make one of the all star team or doesn’t get the most improved player I’m seriously afraid we might have a new user called european baller II with his children Slovenian Baller and Slovenian Baller Junior trolling about how the Nba is racist and discriminates slovenian players.

C Steven Adams
Hopefully these guys are late bloomers. I almost put Nick Calathes in there until I remembered Gorgui Dieng. I will take Dieng’s solid, inspired play over a few weeks over a guy like Ryan Kelly or Steven Adams who haven’t had many (any?) WOW games.
Rookie of the Year: Michael Carter-Williams.
Not sure who the Most Improved Player should be. I will go with Andre Drummond. He has been playing more minutes but his points and rebounds are up a lot. Just a really good player right now.
MVP: KEVIN DURANT. Runners Up: LeBron, Blake Griffin, Noah. Then there is a cluster of third tier candidates such as Steph Curry (stats!), Kevin Love (stats!!), Chris Paul, Tony Parker (obligatory Spurs MVP candidate), Goran Dragic (oh yeah, this guy!), with my sleeper pick being Mike Conley for helping the Memphis Grizzlies from falling apart.
ANTI-MVP: Evan Turner. Plays for a historically bad team in Philly and he can’t even really pad his stats. Then goes to the Indiana Pacers who totally fall apart after he shows up. This guy deserves an award or something.

SteezGawdParticipantfor as great he’s been on defense this year (which he should garner a considerable amount of DPOY award talk for) has not had a better yr than
Demarcus Cousin’s (bad team)
Al Jefferson (He and Kemba got the BOBCATS TO THE PLAYOFFS! JESUS CHRIST SHOW HIM SOME LOVE!)
or Dwight Howard (Ima a laker fan and I still put him 3rd team, that means a lot)
I was upset about KEVIN LOVE too but:
LEBRON and KD will always take the forward positions on 1st team ALL NBA leaving the second team but BLAKE has been a MONSTAR this year
And Lamarcus Aldridge has had just as good a year as Kevin Love and his team is in the playoffs.
