IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Nuggets would get swept. They can’t defend.
The only matchup I want to see is the Spurs vs the Heat. I think the Spurs are the only team that could beat the Heat. I wanted to see this matchup last season.

aamir543ParticipantAmen, this is what I’ve been saying for 2 years.

ProudGrandpaParticipantI’m a little shocked when you say the Spurs are the only team that can beat thet Heat, when your very own Pacers are 2-0 against them this season. They took them to 6 games last season and they area much better, more consistent team this season, with the emergence of Paul George and Lance Stephenson and even David West to an extent and the addition of a stronger back-up Center in Ian Mahinmi. They have the Heat’s number. THis would certainly be a competitive series.
That being said, I would like to see the Pacers (yeah, I’m a homer) play the Nuggets or the Clippers or someone exciting that I wouldn’t mind rooting against. Not saying I think anyone will topple the Heat in the East, but that’s what I want to see.

BasterdInABasketParticipantThree months and one day until NBA Finals start up, what Finals matchup do you want to see come June??
My dream scenario would be Milwaukee grabbing the 6 or 7 seed, matching up against NY first round and catching some serious momentum all the way to the Finals and matching up against the Denver.
Realistically I would love a Miami-Denver matchup. Without a doubt they’re the two funnest teams to watch in the league for me. I would give Denver a good shot against Miami too if the Heat’s jumpers aren’t falling and Denver can get out and run.
I just can’t wait for the playoffs to start and was daydreaming some matchups. How bout you guys?0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/05/2013 - 2:00pm #752820
KayjayParticipantA combined 33% field goal percentage lol. jk
Denver and Miami would sound pretty sweet. But honestly I would love to see Miami vs. LA. Not just for the matchups, but rather for the storyline. Kobe trying to win his last ring when people thought it was impossible for him to have another shot at getting one. Or even the fact Jordan took Kobe over LeBron. And you know how those two get when they play one another, god it would be simply amazing. Along wtih all that…
How fitting it would be for LeBron James the best player to finally shut the cracked window of opportunity on the NBA’s former best player. Man would I wouldn’t give to see something like that.

alingeParticipantBobcats vs Kings, doubt it is still possible though so I will have to settle with Miami vs OKC part 2.

220ParticipantMy guess is it will either be Miami vs OKC or Miami vs San Antonio. Either way it should be a competitive finals

CmaddogParticipantjust seem to have OKC’s number. Mentally as well. Spurs Heat would be pretty sweet. As a random wild card, Nuggets vs Knicks would be pretty fun to watch. One team bombing threes, the other running all over the court. Melo vs former team. Does anyone else kind of dislike that you can essentially know which 3 or 4 teams have a shot to be in the NBA finals before the year even begins? Football, baseball, hockey can have lower seeds go through, upsets, diversity. NBA playoffs are great, but just thinking out loud

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantLakers spurs in the first round would be insane. I still have hope that Kobe Dwight and Steve with hit their stride just in time for the playoffs. For the rest of the year every game is huge. No so much for the spurs. I like the lakers beating the spurs in the first

Chilbert arenasParticipantHeat Thunder, no one can make me think otherwise till I see it.

DlesnieParticipantI’m going with an upset since everyone is saying Heat (obvious pick). Indiana Pacers vs Thunder in the finals.

Chilbert arenasParticipantSpurs if Parker comes back healthy…

Malik-UniversalParticipantjust imagine how amazing of a finals it would be if kobe and lebron played against each other… imagine the ratings of that one.. wow… it would be a basketball fans dream coming true…. but to bad it will never happen… it would be the most anticipated finals ever… but for this yr, i really want a rematach of last yr between OKC and the heat… i want us to look back on this 20 years from now and say that those KD and lebron battles were amazing to watch
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/05/2013 - 2:35pm #752834
aamir543ParticipantSpurs and Heat would be my dream final, I feel the Spurs are the one team who can pick apart Miami, they move the ball like crazy, and they give the Heat size problems. Duncan and Splitter would be trouble for Miami. They also play pretty good D as well. If guys like Leonard and Green don’t choke like they did last year, than, I can really see them knocking all Miami. Of course all bets are off if Lebron gets into that zone again, that zone where only the MJs and the Kobes and the Lebrons go.

invalidParticipantfinals dream match up.. knicks vs denver , ex-nuggs and knicks players go at it and scoring around 125 every game. or knicks vs houston with lin hitting a winning shot at madison lels

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI would love to see the Lakers v Heat if the Lakers can get it together last minute and play like the championship team they have the potential to be.
Other than that, I’d love to watch a rematch of the Heat v Thunder.

HaleParticipantUnless Rose leads Chicago to the finals, those are the only two finals matchups I’d like to see.

IndianaBasketballParticipant@I May Be a Real Grandpa
You know I bleed that Pacers blue, but I know the regular season won’t mean too much when the playoffs roll around. The Pacers did push them hard last season, but Dwyane Wade wasn’t healthy and Chris Bosh didn’t play.
The Pacers are better this year, but so are the Heat.
I think we can push them hard again, but I just don’t know if we can beat them 4 times. We’re not a great road team and the Heat will have home court.

kingofbumsParticipantwould love to see the lakers make it as the 8th seed, take out the spurs, which i think they can do if healthy and make their way to the conference finals where they play the thunder, win and finally, we will get the matchup everyone has dreamed about for the past 6 or so years. yup against bron bron. and i hope lebron slaps the shit outta kobe.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/05/2013 - 4:12pm #752878
IndianaBasketballParticipantYou LeBron fans would love it for him to match up with a past his prime Kobe with a weak Lakers squad. That’d just makes y’all’s days, wouldn’t it lol?
The time LeBron should’ve met Kobe was when the Cavs were the top seed in the the East two years in a row and couldn’t close the deal.
I wouldn’t want to see the matchup. The Lakers would get swept. They can’t defend. I don’t think Kobe would have a great series because the Heat hedge/double every screen, load up on strong side, etc… It’s not like we’d see Kobe being defended by LeBron man to man. It’d be just like vs the Celtics, but LeBron would get all the credit for “shutting” him down.
0- Posted on: Tue, 03/05/2013 - 4:51pm #752886
aamir543ParticipantI understand what you’re talking about, but if the Lakers get to the Finals, by then they’ve probably already beat at least two of the Thunder, Spurs, or Clips and probably another solid team in the Nuggets and Grizz.
I highly doubt they get through the West because it really won’t be easy, and they won’t be able to do it without being legit on the way, that’s all I’m saying. There’s no way they’re beating the Spurs or Thunder without Ding up and playing like an Elite team, no way on Earth, although regardless if the Lakers even did get to the Heat they’re not lasting more than 5 games.

kingofbumsParticipantso what you are saying is a stacked lakers team facing off against lebron & scrubs is better? what would be the difference…

FastAndFuriousParticipantOKC VS HEAT
Lebron VS KD
Rivalry for years to come.

theprophetParticipantit is most likely okc vs mia. i like that one. last year wasn’t the first matchup between them.
i would really like to see the clippers or grizzlies win it.
i would like to see some team other than mia get out of the east but that wouldn’t happen without an injury.
it would be cool to see the bulls go all the way again with drose back in the lineup for the playoffs.
a lakers vs mia would be one for the ages. yeah right that happens.
as a basketball fan, i just want a great finals and there are so many great possible matchups so we are in luck.0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/05/2013 - 5:26pm #752904
machu46ParticipantMy pick before the season began was Miami vs. Clippers in the Finals and I’m going to stick with it. The Clippers have ridiculous depth if they can all stay healthy, and any team led by CP3 is a team that isn’t going to go down in the playoffs without a fight.
