Zach Randolph
I think he's going to re-sign with Memphis, and I don't think he's a max player. Memphis holding onto Zach and Mayo obviously believe they can do damage in the Western Conference this season and beyond with their roster. I don't necessarily agree but they have been improving at a good pace. Zach is THE reason the Grizzlies have become a good team and the Grizzlies, as said above, were one of the only teams willing to take a chance on Zach. He loves playing for Memphis and I expect him to honor all of this and stay with the Grizzlies.
Randolph show he could play in Portland, New York, and LA Clippers. He was his off court stuff that hurt him. He doesnt owe Memphis nothing. The got more than what they paid for and another team or them will pay again and earn his services.
Memphis cant afford to give him the max. I bet somebody else might, or give him close. they cant give him Rudy Gay money, especially if the cap is cut, or they wont ever win. Conley is a big contract, Gasol will need his money, just dont see how it all fits. They had to overpay for Gay but Conley was a stupid, stupid contract.
I highly doubt he will re-sign with Memphis, because he might be able to command a max contract from some other teams that are willing to give it to him. I think a team that will do that will be the Nets- who I think will be very interested in him now that they don't have Favors.
Memphis needs to stop HOPING he is going to re-sign and get some proper value for him while they can. If they keep Randolph for this season, they might make the playoffs, but I doubt they will make any sort of run...................
