Kansas seems to really be putting it all together. They’re extremely difficult early schedule has toughened them up a little, which is good because by nature they seem like “good guys” who want to keep things friendly. Tonight, they completely dominated an inferior TCU squad, but more impressively, they’ve won four consecutive conference games against ranked opponents. We all know about Embiid, Seldon, Wiggins (Wiggins played a complete game tonight: 27 pts 5 ast 5 reb), but what’s impressing me lately is the play of the role players. Tharpe and Frank Mason have rounded into form, especially Mason–that guy’s tough, pesky, and full of heart. Ellis(2nd in scoring), Black (injured tonight) and Traylor form a very nice, athletic front court combo, and even Brannen Greene (shooting) and Landen Lucas (post play) are starting to find their place. Frankamp hasn’t been lighting it up, but we all know he can shoot it, too.

I’m no expert, but these Jayhawks are my favorite team to watch, and my early pick to win it all.

    Thoughts?

Not sure if I want to make them my pick to win it all yet, but they’re definitely a top 5 most dangerous team come March for me. I still really like Arizona, probably as close to a complete team as there is. I also wouldn’t count out Kentucky either. It would be very interesting to see Kansas and Kentucky square off down the road.

When this team takes care of the ball they are pretty unstoppable.  They can have five guys be their leading scorer any night in tharpe, selden, wiggins, ellis, and embiid.  Plus a scrappy bench in Mason and traylor.  They bring a ton of energy off the bench.

Greene is a guy I am looking to take the wing spot rotation.  I think this guy could be a first round pick after his junior year.  He has a pure stroke and is a legit 6′ 7".  He is stuck behind two lottery guys right now and hasn’t gotten consistent minutes.  He will never be a feature player but a player who can constistently hit the outside shot and play some d.   Keep in mind he was the 27th ranked player in this very deep class.
