MaxPreps Boys Basketball All-American Team

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps.com has recognized the Top 50 high school boys basketball players in America. Past honorees include NBA All-Stars Kevin Durant (2006), Blake Griffin (2007), Kevin Love (2006, 2007) and Derrick Rose (2006, 2007).

Selections are based on team success, statistics and local, regional and state honors from the recently completed season. Potential at the college or professional level is not a consideration. Players in post-graduate programs are not eligible for inclusion.

Athletic and versatile forward fought off mononucleosis to average 22.9 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, pushing Mitty to its second-straight Division II state title.

Shabazz Muhammad, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)

Most decorated player in Nevada history helped Gorman win three state titles in four years, pouring in 30.4 points per game as a senior to go along with 10.1 rebounds.

Jabari Parker, Simeon (Chicago)

Nation's top junior already owns three Class 4A titles, producing 19.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this winter to help Simeon three-peat.

Marcus Smart, Marcus (Flower Mound, Texas)

Headed to: Oklahoma State
Centerpiece of a remarkable three-year run at Marcus that included two state titles and a 114-6 record. Future Cowboy tallied 15.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5 assists per game in 2011-12.
