who thinks these 2 guys can average 20+ppg...each...in the upcoming season? Also, i read a post from gay a few weeks into the summer on how he's workin on his rebounding.
i think both of these players have the potential to each score 20+ppg. i also think both of these players fg/3pt %'s will go up due to maturity. These two can be a devasting 2/3 duo. mayo with his ability to create his own shot and his driving ability...this will just continue to get better. i think you're going to see him acting more aggressive and more physical this year. he has an amazing killer crossover and has decent agility... and last, i think mayo has the potential this year to barely make an allstar spot...we'll see. I like the fact that rudy has all the potential to be an allstar as well, but he seems to relaxed at times in the game. if he developed a sense of urgency and killer instinct..this would be a scary guy to play against. also, i think he'll take smarter shots this year..and might be able to develope a go-to move..
O.J mayo - 24ppg, 4rp, 5apg, 1.8spg, 46-FG%, 38-3pt% - 36mpg.
Rudy Gay - 21ppg, 7rpg, 2spg, 1.3spg, 1.5bpg, 47-FG%, 40-3pt% - 36mpg.
will be a very good player but oj will not make an allstar game until the grizzlies improve allot. I dont see that happenings for the next few years at least.
Mayo is a beast, but with randolph there i doubt him and gay will average that much
Work out, eat raw eggs, raw meat, habbanero peppers, nails, gravel, and watch rocky every night. Basically get tough, hungry and selfish when it comes to getting loose balls. See Reggie Evans, Paul Millsap, Troy Murphy, Dennis Rodman.
If everything goes well, meaning no freak injuries and/or they dont try and split up the team , the Grizzlies should have a playoff level squad by 2011-2012. They will need to add 1 more piece through the draft or free agency and they should have a nice squad in a few years with experience.
sup man, i don't think randolph is going to have a huge role. i was reading from what he said - he was speaking about a new start, a new person, himself, basically he's the next ron artest lol.
I think randolph will realize when he should shoot, and when he should let mayo and gay take the game over.
They both have the potential but if you think about the grizz there team is pretty bad. Did you see Hasheem in the summer league that guy looked awfull maybe worth the 35th pick ohh wait he isnt even worth that cause summers was better then him in every aspcet of the game. I think Oj will be great and Rudy could be good but with the cast of turn over prone players and the ability for the team to space the floor well i will they will be not as good as you think
ya 11-12 is most likely dead on accurate. development of conely, and a real/young PF is going to be the key to whether they go or not.
Does the name Zach Randolph ring a bell?
Dude...is going to ruin their games. I can see Mayo doing it because I think his shooting is way better then Rudy. I see Rudy averaging another season at 15-18 Points per game unless something amazing happens.
mayo wil get his 20-22 a game and Gay will be around 18 a game. Randolph will steal some shots.
i feel like it's half and half out of the posts here lol.
1 half says mayo will do good, gay will stay the same
the other half says randolph will ruin it.
They would have to both shoot above 50 percent to get those numbers. There is not enough shots for them to average that much. I can see Gay with 18 and Mayo with 19 and that is only if he can get to the line. Randolph will be in that range too. He is too good of a inside prescence not to go to. Marc Gasol does not care much about numbers and also I think Mayo would rather be a complete player than just a scorer so that could mean he would pass to Randolph for easy assist and if he can grab 5 boards could be in the 19 5 and 5 range and not bad company.
O.J mayo - 24ppg, 4rp, 5apg, 1.8spg, 46-FG%, 38-3pt% - 36mpg. I like O.J. Mayo but he will not put this many points, he's only like 6"2 or 6"3. Rudy Gay's I agree his are more realistic
oj may is 6'4 and a half in shoes.
