I'm not real big into politics. But the thought of Sarah Palin in office scared the s.hit out of me.

last time we talked politics and i discussed my displeasure with barack obama so far i lost about 100 points throughout the convo.

I'm a little more republican than democrat i guess, I dont mind her too much. Shed be better than Hilary, at least. She's against same-sex marriage, she's for resource exploration in alaska, and is against obama's healthcare plan.. I agree with her on those things.. But she's pro-life and I'm pro-choice and it would be hard for me to vote for someone who is as religious as she says she is.

Sarah Palin has absolutely zero experience in washington... she quit her only real position in alaska... and how can you be against same-sex marriage~ do you not know any gay people? even if you think you don't know gay people, you do, and i think it's ridiculous that someone's life partner isn't allowed to be by their hospital bed in their dying moments because haters like yourself are too afraid to accept people for who they are.

I know a lot of gay people. I have gay friends. I just think marriage should be between a man and a woman. I don't have a very strong opinion on it, if gay marriage is allowed throughout the country I'm not going to be angry about it-- just of the opinion that it should be man and woman. A co-worker of mine who is gay recently got married, I supported him and congratulated him. I don't agree with it but I'm not "hating"(again with that annoying word) on it.

how would you feel if your friends weren't allowed to say bye to their life partner because they weren't technically married? how would you feel if they died by themselves all lonely, just cuz they're gay and didn't get married to a woman (or man if they are lesbian)?

if you can honestly say they shouldn't be allowed to do that, than you aren't being a very good friend to them. and promoting the repression of their rights is...... just as bad. what kind of friend does that make u?

can give me a good reason other than " i believe marrige should be between a man and a woman". i am a heterosexual male and personally i dont care if gay ppl get married, but even i know that reason is a load of crap. just because its against your religion doesnt mean you should apply that belief to the lifestyles of others. besides, its gonna happen, just like the end of slavery, just like suffrage. it all depends on when.
