6'8.5'', 243, 7'1" wingspan, a maximum vertical reach of 11'9", 6.6% body fat, and a no-step vertical jump of 29.5 inches.
Based on those numbers & 18 ppg proving his efficiency playing both forward spots
I think Dumars has a steal on his hand
“One of the things that stood out was he was one of the few guys that physically seemed at least comfortable with attempting to stop him,” David said. “None of the college counselors were going to stop LeBron – we have a hard time stopping him on our level. But he at least seemed comfortable.”
I agree, I was surprised he dropped into the 2nd round. I had him at about 25, but he had a very productive summer league and I think Detroit drafted 3 very good players in Daye, Summers, and Jerebko.
i love this post, on a post a couple of weeks ago, thats who I chose for my steal of the draft., both of y'all help prove this point.
Detroit will have to choose who will play and who will stay but they got a lot of talented front court players though
if only they could get a solid post defender
Brown has improved in some areas but he is still Kwame Brown
and Rasheed just left so Detroits playoff prospects look pretty grim as of now
Summers is built like Lebron was when he 1st came into the NBA...and I do think he'll be a steal because he'll be a productive player and you cant always expect that from a 2nd round pick. But he played one-dimensional in college (mostly as a 3-point shooter) so he'll have to be aggressive and realize how physically gifted he is to truly be a good player.
Detroit has Charlie V, Daye, Summers and Prince none of these guys are legit PF's.
Their Centers are nothing special either this is still a team built on Guards.
Summers is a SF
Daye is a 6'11 skinny PG (Inland Empire representin whoop whoop)
Charlie V is a PF with no defense ala Harrington
Prince is done IMO
true they don't have any PFs that's why they R trying to speed things up
This is called small ball
PS look for Michael Snaer (FSU)
to tear it up in the NCAA next year
these 2 from Inland Empire like Daye
Daye is a pg??????? what r u hearing that im not?
Dumars said he's more of a Rashard Lewis type
Daye is a playmaker, not a point guard. He can create for others like a PG does but that is as far as the PG thing goes. He is a small small PF. I will call him a TF, Tall Forward. 6'11 is tall for the PF spot but he has no "power" to be heard of.
Man you sure about that? I thought he was like from Irvine or something im from San Bernardino, but i dont remember hearing anything about him...what school did he go to?
he used to play in our high school tournaments at Santiago (Corona, CA)
and even then he had handles ala Lamar Odom
PS IE is Riverside and San Bernadino
