Who Needs To Play??

Who are some of the bench players who need to play??

Renaldo Balkman - This guy works his tail off. He is a great defender, great rebounder, below average scorer. When he plays, he produces. There was a game, last year, where he stepped in, started, and had a double double of 20 and 10. I know he is a little undersized, but so is Kenyon Martin. 6'8 isnt too bad for a PF especially when they bust their ass. Put him in the game.

Donte Greene - When you have a terrible team who struggles scoring, why not play the huge SF who can score?? I know he was a rookie but come on. This guy could be a Dirk type of player. A mismatch waiting to happen at the PF spot. Put him in the game.

Channing Frye - A tall PF who can score, score, and score some more. A mismatch for the slower PFs of the league. Good midrange shooter who can rebound. Can play. Put him in the game.

Kareem Rush - On a team who's biggest weakness is long range shooting, why not play the shooter?? Rush is a tall SG who can flat stroke. He is an athlete who may not be super aggressive but could defiantly help with a weakness. Put him in the game.

Terance Kinsey - This guy is a tall SG who can do it all. Mike Brown once said he was the most versatile guard on their team. He is big, quick, and aggressive. His weakness right now is shooting but that can be improved. Put him in the game.

Michael Ruffin - NAH, JK!!!

Who do you think deserves more time?

Terance Kinsey is still on

Terance Kinsey is still on their team?
Well I agree about Donte Greene, before being traded I was very excited about him for the Rockets. He could be special if he gets the time and puts in the work. Frye...hasn't he had a chance? Anyways, he'll get his time this year with the Suns as their Starting Center, he should be able to beat out Lopez for the spot. As for Renaldo Balkman, dude is a legit NBA Player. I like his game. I think he could be a very good role/bench player. LOL about Michael Ruffin

Jerryd Bayless, but they are

Jerryd Bayless, but they are stacked in the back court so he doesn't have much of a chance

Josh McRoberts. Let him

Josh McRoberts. Let him play!

O, and Kareem Rush played HORRIBLE for Philly last year. He didnt shoot well when he got in the game and he's notoriously a poor ball-handler (so is Brandon) so maybe that's why he isnt aggressive.

The reason

Balkman doesn't play is because he is 6,7 (on a good day) and doesn't have enough strength to compensate, nor does he have the offensive skills. He is strictly a 7th/8th man because of that.

Channing Frye will get some big minutes. However, all he brings is a good jumper. He is incredibly soft and will NOT go in the post nor will he play good, physical defense. Trust me, I was always frustrated with him in Portland when he got big minutes which was seldom.

Frye is apparently looking

Frye is apparently looking real impressive for Phoenix and should probably start. The suns is a great situation for him. As for the rest of the list, meh... Donte was given opportunities last year and he is just not nba ready. Balkman is a hustle player who might see more time with Klieza gone, but nothing too special about him. I'm surprised Kareem Rush hasn't had a better career. I remember when he was with the Lakers in 2004 season when they went to the finals, he had some big games that year. He hit 7 3's in a conference finals game against Minnesota. I went to a lakers kings game that year and he dropped 30 points. I thought he had talent. Kinsey has looked decent the few times I have seen him, so maybe you have a point with that one.

i agree with Kinsey. I

i agree with Kinsey. I remember when he was in the grizzlies two years ago during the last month of the season, he got some good minutes in and I think he averaged over 20 points per game in April.

one thing he needs to do he bulk up some. at 6'6", he's only around 180 lbs. but he can flat out score when he gets his touches.

What about Anthony Randolph,

What about Anthony Randolph, Anthony Morrow and Brandan Wright? They're always buried deep on the Warriors bench. Those players would totally benefit with more playing time.

I'm also going to agree with Jerryd Bayless being able to play some more. What about Brandon Rush on Indiana, I think he needs more playing time too.

Jerryd

Will never be a key contributor in my opinion to Portland. I just don't think he can be a PG and we don't need any more SG'S. I really liked him coming out of college, but the fact that he can't hit a jumper to save his life and he can't play PG worries me a lot.

Speaking of right, you guys

Speaking of Brandan Wright, you guys see where it said he might be out 4-6 months with a shoulder injury? That really delays his already slow development...

it's kinda hard to really

it's kinda hard to really call for guys who just finished their rookie season's to get more PT. Give the teams another year to give guys like Randolph, Bayles, Donte Green, and Brandon Rush more time, it's still early.

Renaldo Balkman - This guy

There was a game, last year, where he stepped in, started, and had a double double of 20 and 10. I know he is a little undersized, but so is Kenyon Martin. 6'8 isnt too bad for a PF especially when they bust their ass. Put him in the game.(He does need more minutes and should get more this year with a lot of players leaving and also Kenyon Martin was like 6'8" or so without shoes at the predraft camp when he was drafted so with shoes he is a pretty decent height. Balkman on the other hand with shoes may tip 6'7" at best.

Donte Greene - When you have a terrible team who struggles scoring, why not play the huge SF who can score?? I know he was a rookie but come on. This guy could be a Dirk type of player. A mismatch waiting to happen at the PF spot. Put him in the game.(Green does need more minutes but the thing is, he will have to earn them because even a bad team like Sacramento is fairly deep)

Channing Frye - A tall PF who can score, score, and score some more. A mismatch for the slower PFs of the league. Good midrange shooter who can rebound. Can play. Put him in the game.( He will play this year and it is funny how people lover Alridge but hate on Frye and their games are similiar and Frye may be the better shooter)

Kareem Rush - On a team who's biggest weakness is long range shooting, why not play the shooter?? Rush is a tall SG who can flat stroke. He is an athlete who may not be super aggressive but could defiantly help with a weakness. Put him in the game.(Why is he even here, he fell off when he left the Lakers)

Terance Kinsey - This guy is a tall SG who can do it all. Mike Brown once said he was the most versatile guard on their team. He is big, quick, and aggressive. His weakness right now is shooting but that can be improved. Put him in the game.( I like this guy and he needs more minutes)

Bayless need minutes but it will be tough in Portland this year but he may be the reason why Portland lets, Blake leave as a free agent.

Morrison will not get many minutes unless Lakers players get injured or blow out teams a lot.

Flip Murray needs minutes because he has shown he can score in limited minutes and put up 20 points as a starter.

Darko needs more minutes to gain his confident and develope into something that makes him not a bust which I think is within his reach.

I was watching the Lakers

I was watching the Lakers training camp on NBA TV and there was a discussion of how Morrison may take some minutes from Sasha this year. There's still some hope left for the stache haha
