Who wants to do a dealio?
The Raptors were the third-lowest scoring team in the NBA at 90.7 points per game last season and Casey made obtaining more shooters a priority, but it wasn’t all bad offensively in Toronto. With the team’s improved defense, the Raptors averaged more shots per game than their opposition and shot for a higher percentage. Unfortunately, losing Andrea Bargnani’s scoring for over half the season wasn’t something Toronto could overcome.
With arguably the best power forward in basketball already in place in Kevin Love, the Timberwolves have high expectations heading into the season. While a playoff berth may not necessarily be on the horizon, there’s little doubt that Minnesota will be right in the thick of things come April.
As everyone knows, O’Neal manned the middle for the Lakers during their three straight championship runs a decade ago. He often referred to himself as “the CEO” of those teams -- which, of course, led to the clashes with Kobe Bryant.
