Who is the ONE player that you would go back in time to watch LIVE?
I would have to say with no hesitation that I would choose to go back to the 1960's.
Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain became the icons they are known as today by their prime years during the decade... To watch these 2 play would be one of the greatest battles between big men.
I watched a prime Jordan, but I would love to put the goat in todays game and see the battles with Kobe and Wade and Lebron, that would be fun.
As for players I didn't see, I started watching in 1992 right after Bird and Magic retired, and even though I have seen countless replays of their games, I would love to see them live today.
I would want to watch Elgin Baylor. During his years there wasnt anyone like him. A 6'5 225 pound athletic 2 guard was rare back in the day. The one year he averaged llike 38 pts only 2nd to chamberlin. I just want to see if his game would have translated to how basketball is played now
Uh Champ, look up Gus Johnson. Not sure if there's youtube clips, but he was in the same era. 6'5" power forward who was shattering backboards. He was twice the athlete that Baylor was just didn't get the exposure due to not playing on as high a profile team. Think Larry Johnson before Larry Johnson.
have to go with Pistol Pete Maravich. The most unique player to ever play the game, in my opinion. He was a wizard with the ball and he was a creative scorer. I would want to go see him in college because thats when he had scoring parties every night.
Bob Cousy. When everyone else was watching the ball while they slowly dribbled up the court, nervously, he was going behind his back and between his legs. He was making no look passes to people who werent suppose to dunk a ball and were shooting stand still push shots. He single handedly shaped the PGs game as when know it today. I would also love to see Kareem, Jerry West, Dr. J, Pistol Pete, Rod Thorn, and Kevin McHale.

Imagine that you have an NBA time machine in which you could go back in time and watch a player that you were never able to watch probably because you were never born yet, or you're still in your diaper days when the player retired. Who would you pick?
My pick: 'Pistol' Pete Maravich
Yeah... Magic and Larry would have been a logical choice... Or even a prime or a young Dr. J... But I chose Pistol Pete without much hesitation. I am kinda intrigue by what he does on the court. He was an explosive scorer and a crazy playmaker who does a LOT of fancy passing... and I mean, a LOT... Though Jason Williams (White Choco) did that, I think it was Pete who started it all along with Earl Monroe... I would go back in time to watch Pete Maravich play and see him do a fake wrist pass...LOL
