Worst Dunk Contest of All-Time?
I wanna see LeBron, Dwight, J-Smoove then one of Derozan, Nate or Iguodala.
What the hell... screw this fan voting crap...
Even though it wasn't as great as in years past... DeMar definitely had better dunks even though his nerves were clearly shown... Nate's dunks all looked the same, don't get me wrong, the guy has mad talent and hops... but he was TERRIBLE tonight...
DeMar deserves to be back in it next year with a new group of people... NOT NATE... he has been in it too many times
yeah sure, a load of crap, I thought last years contest sucked
no, no, no.
I think the issue is we put the "Stars" in the game. I believe when we put the young and up and comers in, the contest would seem better.
Also, I believe it should go away for awhile because it's kinda stale these days
Please bring back Iguodala, JR Smith and J-Smoove, and get LeBron to join. The crowd was bored man and that's pretty sad.
Yea... And throw T-Will in there! DeRozan is OVERRATED... I thought he was more athletic man...
They're playing for the sake of performing... There was no pure entertainment in this year's contest... I think some people are right when they said that the dunk contest is dying.... Gerald Wallace, Shannon Brown... You've made highlights in games but in the contest, you both stink... Hate Nate for winning 3rd dunk title... S H I T... Crap and pure crap...
Who thinks Wade or Iguodala should go next year if LeBron bails again? I want some people with personality... Wallace and Brown didn't really care. Makes people really miss Dwight...
The East better have some tricks during tomorrows All-Star Game to make up for it...
i say invite non nba players. I've seen guys on the internet do crazy things. I'm sure the crowd would get hyped even if they didn't know who the dunkers were, i know i would. Plus the money and the exposure would gaurantee they bring it hard.
In order to be good at the dunk contest, not only do you need to have some good dunks, but you need to show some emotion and be a showman. Nate was the only one who seemed to care. And I dont even know why Gerald Wallace accepted the invite...
sometimes players just dont want to be involved...most of the players you guys listed have already established a name for themselves and would rather take the time off to vacation or spend time with their family
They all are involved annually in the All-Star games (except Iguodala), so it's not like they are spending time with their families in somewhere other than where the All-Star games are held..I don't think this would interfere much if at all with these guys family time
Not to sound crazy but if Tyrus Thomas did his dunks this year rather than in 2007 in Vegas, he would've won the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest... All those guys are pretty disappointing... Nate Robinson, of all people, became the first three time champ? It's pretty bull.,.. I thought J-Rich should have been deserving to be named as such...
This may sound dumb, but let's raise the rims for the dunk contest to 11 feet. How much more awesome would a 360 be on an 11 foot rim rather than a 10 foot rim?? I would say a lot more. The dunks guys do have not changed, but if you raise the rim those dunks would be a lot more exciting.
knicksfan, do you know how much harder it is to dunk on a 11 ft rim? How many guys do you think are gonna be pulling off 360's then? We are complaining about lack of creativity on a 10 ft rim as it is. Terrible idea.
for all star saturday they could start using a mix of players that have been in the league less than 3 years, the past years champions and also nbadl players....did anyone even see this years ndadl dunk contest? this is the second year in a row that its been better then the NBAs version
that was weak ... i can't believe nate won and on his first dunk in the second round he basically just threw the ball up, caught it, and dunked it ... absolutely no flair whatsoever! There's at least 10 kids at the local high school where i live who can do that. WEAK!
That was definitely the worst dunk contest I have ever seen. Shannon Brown was a real big disappointment seeing he was the most favorited. I thought Gerald Wallace might surprise us seeing he was he underdog but he was a disappointment 2. Demar did ok seeing it was his first time. Nate Robinson did the best but did not do as good as he did in past years. The whole contest was just a big disappointment. I think they need 2 retire it 4 a few years then bring it back and put in people that can actually dunk.

Trying to see what yall thought of it. I was real, real disappointed. Its like they didn't even show up for it. And Shannon Brown, come' on man. You lobbying to get in this &$#%#&@! and I seen what you can do, and that is what you give us? A lil upset with that. Very poor outing overall I thought. Nate did alright (anything when you are 5'7 is pretty good) and DeRozan did pretty well considering it is his first and all but I am kinda shocked. LeBron and crew need to save this contest fast.
