Being a better athlete does not mean your a better basketball player...usually players with quickness, leaping ability and killer cross over's have 0 bb IQ and are TEAM cancers...and never win real games in REAL situations...USA bball just got their ish together and no street athletes will ever amount to squawt unless they get their ish together and play like the wite guys...you know smart fundamental, team first, hard working and unselfish bball...I'm not white and know that much...I also coach in the inner city and can say first hand most american basket ball players that are not in NBA(you know every body else that plays the games high schoolers and colleges alike) will be crushed in international competition... word life ....they go pro at 14 and 15 in europe and can do their jobs good enough to steal spots away from guys that can dunk and dribble....where's that 15 year old ball handler in the NBA....Oh thought so

chris kaman was born in america, and raised in america. he has german roots so he played for germany. i even think his own dad said he was a traitor for going to play for germany. i guess he just wanted to play basketball but wasnt good enough for team usa. this whole topic has been made way too many times. there are like 4 major groups we could separate people in. white, black, south asian(middle east, china, etc.), and hispanic. examples of white players, dirk, kirilenko, kaman, nash, hinrich, and david lee. ex of black, lebron, melo, d wade, luol deng, mutombo. examples of s. asian, yao, yi, haddadi, sun yue. example of hispanic, rubio, calderon, gasol, ginobili, scola. guys like tim duncan and samuel dalembert are black. their ancestors didnt originate from those countries. if we break it down like that whites and blacks are very even through the first 15 players, but there are more quality black players after that(which i think has more to do with superior athleticism). and the hispanics are also very talented as well. and the s. asian people are behind basketball wise. and i think its more of a countries being left behind in the world. europe is very modernized, china and japan are becoming more and more relevant in the world, argentina and brazil are ahead of any other s. american country. while african countries and other s. american countries are third world countries. the people there dont have the oppritunity to become great basketball players.

Everybody talks about the lack of quality white american players in the NBA nowadays and I have to say I agree that the talent pool is simply just not there as it's been in earlier days in the league. No one is quite sure why the league had so many stars back in the day such as Larry Bird, Jerry West, Pete Maravich, John Stockton, etc but now they're looking at no true stars that grew up in America that are white. None the less, there are players in the league that fit that criteria, not exactly stars but absolutely some solid to above average players. I was wondering how this team would fair in the NBA, I'm only going to go starters with their backups though. I was wondering how many wins do you think they could get, how far in the playoffs, and what would be their strengths and weakness'.
