MVP of this forum
theres lots of good things about different users
i like gatorheels, knicksboy and iggy's college knowledge. I know they watch a ton of it and i get a lot of good stuff from them since i mostly just watch west coast ball.
I like how guys like rtbt and tli think outside the box and bring some serious debate to the boards.
i like how quincey argues his point but doesnt hold a grudge. Plus he watched stuff form the 90's like me so he is able to talk about ball he saw back then
I like how OJJ, knicksfan, dan e boy and nomoney bring humor to the site as well as ball knowledge
i like how clippers is loyal. Dont beleive me, look into your monitor and repeat clippers suck 3 times and he will show up.
i like how various portland, Knick and that grizzlies guy hate the lakers and i can gladly imagine how angry they are when my lakers win. Yet we keep it all respectful on here.
And then tezo is probably as well rounded as any guy on this site dropping knowledge and thus probably gets my vote for mvp.
And it's always cool when aran or adi make an appearance
I agree. the spammers are stupid. Thanks for the positive thread. That thread about worst contributor is just slamming me right now probably and personally I think its stupid.
I love having all these different personalities on this forum. It makes the site more interesting and gives different views that you typically might not consider. You guys complete me ;)
llperez hits it right on the head about how well rounded everyone on this site is and brings something else to the table. Two guys he forgot to mention that I will and that's JoeWolf1 and 8thdeadlysin both very good posters who contribute a lot. Though, Tezo (butler bulldogs for the new users) would get my vote b/c he seriously knows about everything, some things more than other things. If I could do a top 10 without me in it in no order whatsoever. I would have it like this.
1. Tezo
2. Iggy
3. llperez22
4. JoeWolf1
5. DanEboy
6. OrangeJuiceJones
7. Money/hypnotoad
8. midwestbbscout
9. BiggySmalls (new poster, but everything he has said has been quite interesting to read)
10. 8thDeadlysin
Tie Between Iggy & Tezo
Knicksfan...Thanks for the love sir. I'm honored to be considered a top 10 forum poster. I wont give an MVP but I put alot of stock into 3 things:
1. Unbiasness...biased opinions are unfulfilling opinions, when a guy has bias, he is blind to all other points of argument.
2. Believability/Informative...Posters may not know everything, but using common sense is not hard to do, and alot of things are not super complicated...basketball is not a complicated sport to discuss and understand.
3. Adaptability...Posters who are willing to adapt to the topic and grasp an understanding of what others are saying get major props from me...this is an invaluable quality when being a good forum poster.
I also dont like when people throw other posters under the bus...I'm fine with people disagreeing, but do it with an argument in hand. When people just dont like something, they should say why. Is that all that difficult.
Good Work everybody! You all have put meaning back into my life! (not really cuz that would be somewhat rediculous) but you all have been a joy to read
My favorites are llperez22, knicksfan, biggysmalls, daneboy, Iggy, and OrangeJuiceJones but my favorite is OrangeJuiceJones because his knowledge of basketball and his great sense of humor.
since a lot of names are getting thrown out there, i think i should mention marcusfizer as well. He posts in depth stuff and is reall chill and doesnt get in arguments.
My top 10 in no order in particular
OJJ- like his posts but I must admit 99% of the reason for having him in my top 10 is his comedic relief. Love the pics man keep it up. I have no idea where you come up with the crazy sh*t sometimes.
llperez- we tend to have similar opinions on things and you always seem to support your statements. One of the most professional posters on here IMO.
Blazerfan7- def. tell he roots for the Blazers but usually has very solid all-around basketball knowledge IMO.
Biggiesmalls- Another T-Wolves fan (right?). But anyway I don't see a lot of his posts but he usually keeps bias out and is open to other's opinions.
JoeWolf- I remember when I first came on here and he was postin more than now a days but, I absolutely loved his arguments on many subjects.
ButlerBullDogs aka Tezo?- Well I don't remember Tezo that much, his reincarnation in ButlerBullDogs has had some very solid posts IMO and I had enjoyed talking with him throughout the tourney.
butidon'thavemoney- for a guy who posts a lot, I have had my arguments in the past but you def. help keep this forum going with your posting and I respect your opinion.
knickfan7 (I think)- theres a couple knicks people on here but one of them (i think Knicksfan7) tends to make consistently solid posts. While his knowledge def. is at its best when serving the knicks, he def. knows his basketball.
Iggy- born n raised in philly, I can tell you know a good bit about Iggy n the sixers. Its good to see someone acknowledge how good he actually is. You always bring solid info to the table too to support your posts.
whoever started that M DYMES post- Was against you in the past, but you got my name out there. Thanks bruh.
I don't think there's a MVP. Too many good users. Everybody has their own area of expertise too, which is good.
I like quite a few posters though. In no order:
Llperez22 - King of 90's ball, plus he's unbiased. Loyal fan of Kobe and the Lakers.
JNixon-Iggy9 - A beast when it comes to college and his game recaps. I think he'll be a good scout.
Gatorheels - Another expert at college ball. He's been on this site for a long time too. He had one of his essays/articles posted by Nbadraft.net once.
Knicksfan7 - Intelligent, thoughtful and always has something good to say.
JoeWolf1 - Good unbiased/respectful posts.
BothTeamsPlayedHard - I always read what he posts because I learn something I didn't know or wasn't thinking about. Gives you the blunt truth, which isn't always so good to hear lol.
Butidonthavemoney - The funniest dude on the site hands down... Check the archives! He was posting pictures long before anybody else. The Real McCoy right here. Loyal Jazz fan.
Dhamp - He's been on this site for a long time. Loyal and prideful Syracuse guy who keeps the site entertaining lol.
MagikKnick - Unbiased and informative.
MarcusFizer21 - Another Chi-Town connection. I'll be waiting on the 2010-2011 NBA season previews.
OrangeJuiceJones - Funny and gives an honest opinion. He can find any video on youtube relating to anything.
Then there are a lot of intelligent new guys. DanEboy with the Chi-Town connection, Biggysmalls, Midwestbbscout and a few others. Keep up the good work. Y'all give me something interesting to read at work!
Yes M Dymes I am Knicks7, you're on point. You know your stuff as well. I was on this site in the summer and the left because I didn't like a lot of the people posting and it wasn't as mature, and now when I came back in December this site has been awesome. A lot of knowledgeable people, great debates, and great humor.
Tezo with the on point scouting report on the users as well. Yeah, I try to see the best in everything and everyone, except John Calipari ;). Tezo we know you get paid by your job to read this and talk basketball and about how awesome the state of indiana is to workers who are not from the area.
My youngest unc gave me the nickname when I was born and it's stuck with me. Everybody in my fam calls me it. I'm not sure if they even know my real name lol. During my college graduation my real name was announced to come get my diploma and everybody in my fam started clapping... My 88 year old great grandma goes, "What the hell are y'all doing? They didn't call no Tezo!"
My 88 year old great grandma goes, "What the hell are y'all doing? They didn't call no Tezo!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious, got to love grandmothers. Tezo, you have said your parents both played college ball did your grandparents play as well. Don't lie to me I bet your grandmother was the ill ball player in her day.
No neither my grandma or great grandma were ball players, but my grandma went to Crispus Attucks with Oscar Robertson. You should hear some of the stories of how it was back during that time. Crazy!!!
Oh okay. Yeah I was just doing some reading about the Big O and that Crispus Attucks was a segregated black school and the racism Robertson had to endure growing up.
There was still an awful amount of racism going on back then, so of course there are those stories too... But the success of the team, what they accomplished, etc trumped it.
The T'wolves just have to take the process slow and things will eventually fall into place. The Thunder and Blazers did it, it works out. I wish more teams would just follow there lead and continue to draft well. I think in 2011-12 depending on who the Timberwolves draft could be an average team, but the season after that 12-13 could be like the Thunder of this year.
Thanks for the love. There are too many people to list. Everyone brings something different to the table. Shout out to the nbadraft.net after dark insane asylum crew. llperez for our classice 8 hour debate about the best prospects of the decade. Quincey for the endless headaches but always being respectful. jorrey, I remember reading his posts years ago when I was just a reader, not a poster. Biggysmalls for worrying about his points in every post. 8thdeadlysin who I believe makes half his posts while on drugs. I love you all, you have made my prison sentence bearable.
Insane baseball fan. Know the history of it from the beginning. In my opinion, the best job on earth is to be a professional baseball player. Best game ever invented. To the dismay of midwestbbscout, I am a born and raised die hard Cubs fan. A night game in the bleachers at Wrigley Field is as good as it gets.
DanEboy, you know how much I love talking ball and what not, but basketball is my first love. Baseball is great, but basketball kills baseball when it comes to athleticism. Though, I am a mets fan for better or worse. I went to Wrigley Field to see the Mets play the Cubs, best field I have ever been to hands down. I can't wait to go back one day. Hot as hell though. I would love to go at it with you in trivia, I can hold my own.
I am 32 and have been avidly following it since I was 5...I would destroy you! I just feel baseball is the most strategic and complex game. The hardest thing to do in all of sports is to hit a round ball traveling at around 90mph with a round bat. It was even Jordans first love.
I will agree with you on it being the most strategic and most complex game as well as your quote holding true, but only half the league hits. Yes it was indeed Jordan's first love. You may beat me, but you won't destroy me. I don't say something w/o backing it up.
danEboy, i had never heard of you before i called you out for the best prospects of the decade. I figured i would just drop some talk on a guy I never heard of and it would be over quickly. You and i went on for 8 hours going back and forth like no one has ever fought me before. You had me looking up the depths of the internet to prove Tyson Chandler was in fact compared to KG. I knew after that, that you were a worthy adversary. I have since learned to respect you my man.
Damn llperez that's quite crazy. Maybe we should start a thread on great debates and that could be number 1, lol. As well as all teh crazy debates people have had with Quincey. Actually the race one and graduation rates between rtbt and quincey was the one where it was at.

I remember this was done once before, lol. Also, since we have a worst contributor thread and magikknick mentioned positivity I will start the thread.
