Jabari Parker not going on Mormon mission, will attend college
Im extremely glad... we were gonna miss out on a great college player.
If Parker commits to Duke, next seasons starting lineup will be:
PG: Cook
SG: Sulaimon
SF: Hood
PF: Parker
C: Marshall
Parker will start over Hairston and Jefferson at the 4, pretty much play the role Lebron and Carmelo did for Team USA. I just wonder how he would feel about that. Some players want to play the position that they project to play in the NBA.
The position is just a label. Duke's 4 is more like the Euro 4, which is basically an NBA 3. Ironically, with the success Melo, LeBron and Durant at the 4, the NBA 4 could be becoming more like the Euro 4.
Duke 4's play in space and are often used to space the floor as well. I don't think he'd have a problem with that at all.
Siggy - great point. I deinitely agree on the 3/4 hybrid position that is becoming more and more common.
I am interested to see how his "decision" plays out. I think it is going to be a great class, with a lot of game changing players (Parker, Wiggins, Randle, etc.).
I wonder if Jabari voted for Romney? If he's even 18 yet
No Parker supported Obama since he was black, saw it on his twitter. And this doesn't mean he won't go on a mission. It just means he wants to go to school for a year before deciding if he wants to.
Jeez people are so sensitive nowadays. If I would have said because he was white you wouldn't have said anything. Do I really need to full out say that he felt pride with their being the first Black president so he showed his support?
I'm not sensitive I'm just saying your stereotyping; even if Romney was black he wouldn't win I have black and white in me so race wasn't the issue which your making it seem like
I'm not. You just chose to see it that way.

Was worried that I wouldnt get to watch him play in college/pros for awhile if he went on the mission, and I guess that's kind of selfish, but I guess I dont have to worry about that anymore. Article says he for sure is attending next year, but was not sure about future years if he stayed in college. I'm sure he'll leave after his first year though anyway.
