NBA Comparison: Paul Zipser/Jorge Garbajosa

Strengths: Vezenkov is typical European stretch PF that can play inside/outside with ability to knock down long-range shots from beyond the arch … Has good feel for the game and decent size for his position … Offensively he has ability to score from anywhere on the floor, but he is best at P&P situations and coming off of screens … Creates a lot of mismatches when playing P&R or P&P … Vezenkov has a very good jumpshot with a quick release and can get his shot off at any time … Possess deep range on his shot and fairly consistent. Likes coming off the flare screens and setting his both feet to square up for shot … Can make tough shoots under the pressure … Very smart when it comes to scoring in the paint, skilled and can play with his back to the basket; turnaround jump shots, spins around opponents, create space with one dribble and shooting the floater in the paint … He likes having the ball early on high post and posting up/taking his defenders on the low post and scoring … Uses lots of pump fakes to get open to create shots and scores … Does a good job at cutting into the lane quickly to the basket and finishing below the rim; can score under pressure well, and likes to take big shots … Improved his passing and he became better passer over the years … Rebounds the ball well and goes for rebounds aggressively … Hard working player … Comes from basketball family; his father played for Bulgarian national team … Has played at a high level in Europe for an umber of years now. Excellent experience … Skill set fits well in today’s NBA due to his potential as a high level shooter / stretch forward …

Weaknesses: Limited ball skills offensively for NBA. Should look to improve as a ball handler, however his ability to create off the dribble is also limited by his lack of great speed … Doesn’t possess too much of an offensive game outside of his shooting ability … Solid athlete but has to improve his body and work on his physical toughness … Defensively, Vezenkov lacks speed and lateral quickness, and likely will be a defensive liability at the 3 or 4 spots … Offensively he has trouble scoring over bigger and stronger athletes … He is not quick or explosive enough to get by forwards in Europe and will struggle to do the same in the NBA … Will turn 22 in August, so his upside is not what some other prospects available

Stevan Petrovic 6/15/17

Strengths: Natural Born scorer… Good perimeter shooter, with really deep range … He is a scoring threat from everywhere on the court… A mature and polished player that plays beyond his years … Great in Catch And Shoot situations and can shoot off the dribble too … He is the ideal player to play Pick and Pop and can become a good stretch-four in the NBA … Able to go by the defenders on close outs, mainly because the defense must respect his shooting ability… Can occasionally put the ball on the floor … Moves well without the ball … Although he has strange mechanics, he has quick and high release, which makes it difficult for an opponent to block his shoot … Over time managed to become a good post player, who can turn from either shoulder to shoot … Runs the floor well … High basketball I.Q. with a great feel for the game … Very mature for his age … Better passer than most people think … Good rebounder … A hard worker … Takes and makes big shoots … Very confident player… He has shown leadership qualities…

Weaknesses: Poor athlete by NBA standards… Not big or strong enough to play full time at the power forward position and lacks quickness and athleticism to play the small forward position … Lacks great lateral quickness … He is a liability on defense … As most left handers, he has the tendency to go left … He has to improve his ball handling, especially with his right hand … Not a good pick and roll player just yet … Has problems on the block versus long and athletic players … His limited leaping ability makes it difficult for him to finish at the rim … He hasn’t been tested at the highest level yet, since his former team (Aris) didn’t play in European Competitions … Has to put on some muscle …

Notes: Has Bulgarian and Cypriot citizenship, but chose to play for the Bulgarian national team … He is the son of Sasho Vezenkov, a former Bulgarian national team player, and shows the feel for the game of a guy who grew up around the game with a professional father … For three consecutive seasons (2013-2015) he was named “Greek League Best Young Player of the year” … He was named the “Greek League MVP” in 2014/15 season and he was also the Top Scorer the same year …

Notes: Holds both Bulgarian and Greek citizenship
