Syracuse, N.Y. — We have embarked on a series of videos and brief stories about every one of Syracuse's scholarship basketball players.
The idea is simple: The video will show recent action of the player, with audio provided by his position coach defining the player's strengths and detailing which areas of his game still need work.
Next up:
Tyler Ennis
Ennis, a freshman from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J., takes over at the point guard position for the Orange this year after the early departure of Michael Carter-Williams for the NBA.
Ennis, a native of Canada, played extremely well in Syracuse's four-game exhibition tour of Canada in August. He displayed the poise and decision-making of a veteran during the Orange's games in Ottawa and Montreal.
Ennis will need to improve on his outside shot, but his ball-handling and passing ability are top-notch. With no other true point guard on the roster (sophomore shooting guard Michael Gbinije will be the backup point), Syracuse will be relying heavily on Ennis this season.
