HaleParticipantWho is the best high school basketball player? John Wall’s class is in college so starting with the next class down and keeps going. I’ll throw out some names, Gilchrist, Barnes, Knight, Melo, Drummond, Jones, Wroten. I know I missed some. Who is your pick and why?

QHaynes20I like Perry Jones but I dont kow what position he will play
I like Will Barton, he’s going to Memphis next year and he reminds me of a Jerry Stackhouse type player

HaleParticipantMemphis is my favorite team, can’t wait to have him.

QHaynes20He attacks at will, he is nasty.
I wanna see Perry Jones because right now, he plays the 3 but I think he is a 4 in the NBA

HaleParticipantI really want to see him too, I like the McGrady comparison but Jones is too much taller and not near the perimeter shooter of Tmac. He seems like a Bosh with more handles, off the top of my head.

gatorheelsParticipantI haven’t seen any of these guys play yet so I can’t give an opinion on this. However, I noticed on a website they had Perry Jones as averaging 8 points a game…..if this is true then what is all the hype about? Like I said I haven’t seen this guy play & scoring isn’t everything but you would think a big player like him would average at least 20ppg. The stats on this website could be inaccurate so…take it for its worth. They still have him ranked as the 12th best prospect overall.

HaleParticipantI love Jones as a prospect but I don’t think he is the best player in high school.

Bryant24ParticipantI like Perry Jones because i seen some highlights he reminds me of tmac but with no range on his jumper though. Austin rivers is sick just need to get pure point guard skills. I think Marquis teague is going to be better than jeff teague and i like brandon knight

CameronCrazieParticipantHarrison Barnes is the best IMO.He has the all aroud game the smarts the attitude and the work ethic.I know it’s early but I think he will be a top 5 NBA player

JoeWolf1Austin Rivers has a very high Bball IQ and a true point guard’s mentality, and an extremely high skill set for a senior in high school, he may not be the freak athlete a lot of these guys are, but his name is going to be called in the top 5 in which ever draft he chooses to enter

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantIMO, Harrison Barnes is the best high school player, and Jones is the best prospect. Barnes is the total package, and he doesn’t really have a serious weakness in his game. Jones doesn’t have range on his jumper, but he has plenty of time to develop that. Wroten can be REALLY good. At this point, it looks like he’ll develop into a big point guard. He’s not a freak athlete, but you don’t need to be a freak athlete to be a great point guard. Ask John Stockton, Gary Payton and Walt Frazier.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantBrandon Knight he is the best scorer…….and has too much potential. He is ranked too low on this site!
