Player of the Week

Viktor Lakhin, Clemson

The Tigers had an impressive week and Lakhin really stood out. The redshirt senior only had 5 points and 3 rebounds against Georgia Tech but the center came up big when he was needed against Duke. Before this game the Blue Devils were on a 16-game win streak. Lakhin had 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the squad’s win against Duke. He followed that up with 22 points, 6 boards and 5 blocks against North Carolina in another win. If he can play at this level consistently he could be on some draft boards in the second round for this upcoming NBA Draft.

Freshman of the Week

Jeremiah Wilkinson, California

The Golden Bears have had an up and down season. Despite that Wilkinson has been a name that has started to heat up. The freshman had 14 points and 4 assists in the squad’s win against North Carolina State and 21 points and 1 assist against Wake Forest. He also took home the ACC Rookie of the Week award this week. While Wilkinson has been heating up I’d expect him to be a draft pick in the 2026 NBA Draft where he could really build his draft stock and become a lottery pick.

Who’s Hot

Terrance Edwards Jr, Louisville

The Cardinals have gotten back to their winning ways and Edwards Jr has been a key part to that success. He’s averaging 14.6 points and 4 rebounds this season and has been heating up as of late. The senior had 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists against Boston College and had a double double consisting of 27 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds in the win against Miami. He received an ACC Co-Player of the Week award for his performance this week.

Cameron Hildreth, Wake Forest

Hildreth has been on a heater recently as has the Demon Deacons. The black and gold are on a three game winning streak and Hildreth has scored 20 or more points in the last three games. Against Stanford he had 22 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist and against California he had 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. He received the ACC Co-Player of the Week and could continue to help Wake Forest contend in the ACC.

Who’s Cold

Notre Dame Fight Irish

The Irish have been on a bit of a losing streak. The squad has lost its last three games and have fallen in the ACC near the bottom. The squad has had a few bumps and bruises and it has affected them. It doesn’t look like they will compete for an ACC Championship unless they turn things around now.

Pittsburgh Panthers

Another team that has been a bit inconsistent this season is the Pitt Panthers. It seems that they have found themselves on another losing streak. The blue and gold are on a four game losing streak. The squad was once a team that was at the top of the ACC and now they have found themselves in the middle of the pack. The Panthers are going to need to get back to their winning ways to have a chance in the ACC.

Bottom 5 turnover margins

1. Boston College Eagles

The red and gold have the worst turnover margin in the ACC with a -5.4. The squad has been at the bottom of the conference for most of the season and this is a big reason why.

2. Miami Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have had a season to forget and their – 4.5 margin is a key reason why. Miami has been at the bottom of the conference all season and it looks like that will continue.

3. Syracuse Orange

The Orange have been in the middle of the pack all season and have a -3.6 margin this season. I’d expect them to finish in the middle of the pack.

4. Virginia Tech Hokies

The Hockies are another team that has been at the bottom of the conference this season. They have a -2.6 margin and it doesn’t look like things will go up from here.

5. Virginia Cavaliers

The blue and orange have been middle of the pack this season and their -.5 point differential shows that.
