valentineBeing from Oklahoma, i don’t watch the pac-10’s games often. But as i was watching California play Arizona yesterday, two players really stood out IMO.Theo Robertson and Patrick Christopher looked like nba talents.I don’t watch Cal regularly, though, so can anyone fill me in on these two players

gatorheelsParticipantTheo Robertson is a heck of a college player. He is physical, can play multiple positions, & shoots it well. He has NBA talent. The problem is that he doesn’t have a natural position in the pros. Being 6-6" he is too short to play SF & he is too slow to play SG. Offensively he would be OK as a SG but defensively he would get burned too often. Still he is physically gifted with a high iQ. If he gets drafted it will be late in the 2nd round. More than likely he won’t get drafted but should find a spot on a summer league team.
Patrick Christopher is pretty much the prototypical NBA SG. The problem with him is he isn’t that good of a shooter. He is an above average athlete though & he does have some offensive skills. He can score in a variety of ways. Mediocre shooting skills is the only thing holding him back. That & along with the fact that he is a Senior so there isn’t much upside. Should be a 2nd round pick. If he doesn’t get drafted he will definitely find a spot on a summer league team.

llperezi think cristpoher has a better chance of getting drafted then robertson even though this site disagrees. Cristopher biggest weapon is he has the ability to pull up for a jumper off the dribble from anywhere. His percentage could be higher, but he can get his shot off on anyone. Also his ball handling could improve. Theo Robertson is a tough physical perimiter player He would probably have to play sf at the next level be cause i’m not sure he has sg skills.
SPeaking of that game, Arizona continues to impress me. They have improved so much since the begining of the season. Nic WIse seemed to be pressing early on because it was senior year, but now he is settling in and letting it come to him. And big man derrick williams might be the best freshman in the pac 10. There is a very real chance they end up winning the conference.
