thetruthParticipantim was so fuckin bored. i decided to go back in time and look at the 2006 nba draft. now i remember watching the draft with my best friend. and we were hoping the magic get brewer, gay or roy one of them. but instead we got sorry ass suppose to be a shooter but cant seem to make one jj reddick. anyway getting back on topic. ima looking at the draft. and the first mistake i see is the raptors. now dont get me wrong Andrea Bargnani is a good player who has step it up lately but the rators should have never drafted him. i know hes 7ft and can shoot. and the raptors thought they had a dirk. but they could have gotten lamarcus who does most of if not the things Andrea Bargnani do. and if recall bosh wanted him too. now lets look at the bobcats. mr.jordan you did it again you pick hype over talent. morrison(i dont care if i spelled his name wrong) was a good shooter in college. but jordan out of all people loves toughness, . so why draft morrison if you could have gotten roy for that. imagine if the bobcats had gotten roy . man they would better than what they are. the hawks mess up too drafting mr. candance parker. hes a good rebounder who can score under the basketball. but hes not worth the 6th pick.they could have gotten rondo. houston was dumb for trading gay. he could have been tmac replacement. the first round was full of future benchwarming players. the second round had some gems in millsap, boobie, craig smith, leon powe all them excpet boobie should have went in the first round. the 2006 draft did okaky here. but some of the gms in the league dont deserve to be gm. i think guys like auber, d grizzy, knicks34, mikenike, iggy9 and alot of yall could ahve done a better job than these old dudes.

ummm…LooneyParticipantwhoever passed on Gay will regret it come next season, i heard he has been busting his tail on his game, and he has loads of potential still, i heard he is a lock for team U.S.A. alond with KD and D-Rose

RickyRubio9ParticipantYou guys don’t understand the Gay Trade.
Ok…Battier was a defensive stud who did everything you want from a player. Gay was a Young Talent who may have not panned out as great with two other stars like Mac and Yao. No one figured this would happen…McGrady was 27-28 and looking good. I’d take the trade again. Battier can shut Gay down…Battier will do the same stuff every night. Gay can disappear. I may sound stupid, but that’s just what I believe.0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/27/2009 - 6:56pm #191607
butidonthavemoneyNoooo you heard Gay was a lock to try out for the USA team. The minicamp was not directly an Olympics audition.

RickyRubio9ParticipantBargs can come out being the second best player in this draft behind only Roy.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantRicky, I liked what you said in your first post about battier-gay, and then you had to come out and say that GARBAGE about andrea…. hahaha i haven’t seen much of the guy, but I haven’t really liked what I’ve seen. You really think Andrea will EVER be better than Rondo?

xbadgerhustlerParticipanthahaha I’d take Millsap over Barg

RickyRubio9ParticipantHey, I said I’d argue, when it’s all said and done. I think he can be a 20-10 guy who will be a great second option and help a team in the Playoffs. I know it might seem crazy, but I just had to say it. I give my opinions man. I know they don’t always make sense, but I like the kids game.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantyou’re definitely entitled to your opinion… you don’t have justify giving your opinions, but for real, Barg>Rondo?

Sorry.Winning.ParticipantLaMarcus has been good but needs to rebound hes 6’11
Tyrus god damn he has or had potential but he ended up like everyone to come out of lsu(swift) just a tall athletic shot blocker who could have been very good
Roy/Foye sorry t-wolves
RUDY!!!! stud enough said shouldve stayed in H town battier is nice but Rudy is the man
Rajon…you think the suns are kicking themselves in the ass now? i know they were just saving cap but still he would have been a good pg to inherit nashs starting role once hes gone, who know maybe they wouldve traded nash to the knicks then(that one was for you new yorkers and Mr. D’Antoni)0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/28/2009 - 12:33am #191747
marcusfizer21ParticipantI was excited for my Bulls on this draft because I had a good feeling they are going to pick LaMarcus Aldridge… I was imagining Aldridge teaming up with Tyson Chandler as the new twin tower combo for the Windy City… One is offensively solid while the other is a good defensive presence… But as it turned out, it never happened… LaMarcus got traded to Portland in exchange for a pogo-stick leaper in Tyrus Thomas and peanut (Viktor Khryapa)… I was afraid about that deal because I had this superstition of Stromile Swift part 2… I mean both guys came from LSU… Both guys got compared to a man named Shawn… (Swift was compared to Kemp while Thomas was compared to Marion) As it turned out, I was correct… Aldridge scored more points than the two nutboys combined. I thought the Bulls blew it but it didn’t matter now since we have Rose…^^

Chicago1980ParticipantI am a bulls fan too and they had the twin towers at one time they had Curry and Chandler for a couple years Curry was the offense and Chandler would block shots and grab rebounds the whole time they were together i was wishing that somehow they would just combine into one player cause if they could it would have been a pretty good center.

Chicago1980ParticipantBargnani is horrible he is 7 foot and he doesnt rebound and he likes to shoot 3’s that was a bad pick for #1 that year actually looking at that draft it was a pretty weak draft they were saying that he was the next Dirk when he came out I get the NBA package every year so I watch all the games and he is not impressive to me. There were some good players in the draft though Roy,Rondo,Gay everyone else was role players.

deshawynkeys91Participantits funny looking back how everyone now talks about how teams shouldn’t have passed on b. roy but the truth is that b. roy was a nice player coming out of college who was solid at everything but not special… i figured he would have been a solid 3 option type player on a team..
i’m a raptor fan and still to this day would have preferred the raptors trade the 1st overall pick and then draft bargnani (if they were going to draft him)
or
if they were going to keep the 1st pick select r. gay to have the guard to pair with c. bosh
And ricky a. bargnani will never avg. 10 reb/gm…. first off he never gets any offensive reb.(spends too much time hanging around the three point line) and is a terrible positional rebounder on the defensive end

cp5Participant1) Passing on Rondo
2) Bulls shouldn’t have traded LaMarcus for Tyrus
3) Roy should’ve went to the Bobcats
4) Minn. should’ve picked up Gay
5) Redick in the lottery/ Millsap in 2nd Round.0
