i’m jus so offendedParticipantI really can’t believe what has happened to this guy, many analysts at the begining of the season were saying the Booz signing was possibly the best/underrated offseason move. Now, his contract is looking worse than Joe Johnsons’ after Joe’s playoff run. I read an article on ESPN Insider earlier this week that said Chicago needed to try to trade him due his liability on the defensive end. His mid range and rebounding have always been deadly but both have seemingly disappeared. He seems more worried about yelling and screaming for a foul instead of actually trying to finish…
So what do the Bulls do?? I hate to make a hasty decision but I say move him. I don’t know how easy that would be though. The best course of action is probably to give him till the All Star break next year to prove if he still has it or rebuild his trade value. The Gilbert Arenas and B Diddy trades have shown no contract is untradable so if they can take back a bad contract and get a real quality SG, I would pull the trigger. What do you fellas think??

steviechillzParticipantHe did not play many Regular season games…..he was injured during the playoffs….why trade him already??? geez people overreact to poor play so badly nowadays…..remember when people said that the heat were done after a 9-8 start….now they are in the finals! hold your horses and wait to see how boozer plays when healthy!
What the bulls need is more shooting to space the floor without giving up too much defense…which they clearly have in spades

Moon RiverParticipantI wish they could move him but Paxson/Forman will not do it. For whatever reason, Paxson gets very attached to players he trades for or drafts and they will not give up this quickly on Boozer and admit they made a mistake. Noah and Boozer really did not play many games together this season due to injury and am thinking the party line will be that they just need more court time together, which translates to neither of them getting moved this offseason. Ugh.

6-6-6-lolParticipantBoozer = overpaid for inconsistent performance and health.
Still one of the best 2nd round picks in history.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantstevie, i think he’s been healthy for sometime now, and if he’s not well then he’s very very injury prone and can’t get over a not overly major injury…plus dude got turf toe, playing BASKETBALL. wtf??? I still agree with 666lol, gotta be one of the best 2nd round picks ever, performed at a very high level in Cleveland and Utah. And stevie, you said it yourself, if you can get a real good shooter who can play some D, why not do the deal?? Asik and Gibson can pick up defensively, Gibson would be a better starter than Bogans is.

steviechillzParticipantI agree that Gibson could start on many NBA teams, but I still think we are judging Boozer too quickly….But i get ur point

ilike.panochasParticipantReally shows how great Deron Williams is and how much he made others around him better. Watch DWill turn Humpries into Boozer 2.0. Not as a 20-10 guy, but help him earn a huge contract.

Pro 1ParticipantBoozer is still a very solid player, when healthy, but he needs to play next to a legit 7 footer in order to make up for his his lack of size (height) as he gets his shot blocked more than any low post player currently in the NBA off of the top of my head plus he tends to take plays off during the game ie not hustling back all the time on defense.
Don’t get me wrong he’s extra crafty in the post area and has a legitmate 15-17 foot jumper plus a nice turn around fade away jumper but next to Bynum he would be a much more efficient player than next to Noah (who I would love to see as a primary PF) in my mind.
But then again Bynum & Boozer would both need to stay healthy and that’s a gamble in itself but if they did- watch out NBA.
The Bulls should keep Boozer unless they get a solid trade offer.

IndianaBasketballParticipantWhy are you knocking Boozer for getting turf toe playing basketball? You act like that’s unheard of… Rose had the same injury last season.0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/27/2011 - 8:46am #536712
i’m jus so offendedParticipanthaha Indiana, jus playin for real, finding any reason to rip on the Booz…@ pro1, absolutely great point, Booz played with Lebron and D-Will who could always put him in spots to score, with D Rose dominating the ball and the only real plays he gets are post up isolations every once in a while, his offense is somewhat exposed

Ghost01ParticipantI dont think the Noah/Boozer combo works. Look at Chicago’s best stretches this season. One of them were usually hurt.

ChrischiParticipantI think Boozer is an all-star if healthy, always close to 20-10 shooting over 50%.
The problem is that the PF position is loaded in the NBA and most all-star PFs outmatch him with their length.
Before the season I thought that Chris Bosh would fit perfectly with the Bulls. Amare would have fit greatly also. He would have gotten more time on the PF position and had a coach that would kick his ass if nhe didn’t hsutle on defense. But like I said, If they meet a team that has: Gasol, Amare, Bosh, Garnett he would always struggle.
