valentineI think DeAndre Jordan was a steal last year. Everyone says he slipped but no one thinks he was a steal. He’s still young and raw, but for being young and raw with a ton of potential, he is still averaging 10.8ppg 12.2rpg and 3.2bpg per for 40 minutes while shooting 62.1% from the field. I think he’ll find a spot in the league as an athletic big man and might even become very good.

Henry25ParticipantCouldn’t agree more, this kid is raw and has tons of potenital and can easlity become a good to very good center. I kinda lost faith a bit cause he slipped and i thought the clippers were gonna be good so i didnt think he would play. Think kid is gonna be good

Hoop FreakZParticipantIs still has to learn parts of the game but for being a second round pick, he is low risk=high reward type of player due to his potential and raw abilities

themidnightriderParticipantSteal for the size/athleticism package for sure but the only way that is translated into a good basketball career is through hard work. Watch him on the sidelines…he is ridiculously immature. I highly doubt he has the work ethic or the motivation to ever succeed.

Mr. BasketballParticipantHave you ever read his blog? If u had, you would get the feeling by reading it that he wants to be great and works hard to be great. His goal is to be Dwight Howard strong and he shoots A LOT of free throws every day to work on free throws since that is a major weakness in his game right now. You can’t say someone is not a hard worker because they joke around on the sidelines. Uhh… Dwight Howard jokes around all the time yet he is still a hard worker and is amazing. Your only evidence to support what you said is that he is immature on the sidelines. You don’t actually no what he does in practice.

cprizz15Participanta lot of players have become stars in the nba simply off of size and athleticism (Dwight Howard and Tyson Chandler) dwight howard is not the most skilled player by a long shot.. and last time i checked immaturity doesnt have a lot to with the oregression as a basketball player (Dwight Howard)
hes obviously a work in progress.. but i believe he’ll be worth it.

jorrye24Dwight Howard is not immature and Tyson Chandler is not a star….where did that come from?? But I think Jordan MAY become like Marcus Camby,a shot blocker with the ability to run the floor and get points off of misses. He doesnt have a lot of post moves so thats probably how he will have to score in the NBA. He is also a decent rebounder to but he has to get stronger to dominate in that area like he should be able to.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI was thinking the same thing…
I think it’s about time that you put that DeAndre Jordan isn’t a hard worker stuff to rest though. Jordan worked hard this past summer and has continued to do so in practice. He still has to improve mentally, but I see no reason to continue saying he doesn’t work hard… He probably wasn’t the hardest worker in high school or college, but that’s the past. This is now.
