OhCanada-ParticipantWho’s the better prospect?
I feel like the talent level for these two players is equally high although I would give the edge to Ace Bailey due to his unique combination of athletisism, size and skill. Harper is probably going to have the better 4 or 5 years in the NBA though as I think Bailey will take longer to develop. Although Bailey has shown flashes of being absolutely unstoppable.
Thats not to say I am not high on Harper. Of all the players to come along and get the Brandon Roy comparison this one to me is the closest. He’s extremely skilled, has great footwork, a solid jumpshot and can really create. He seems like he will have a great NBA career.
This one really comes down to whether you want guard play or you want a wing/forward imo. Or if you want a ballhandler or a finisher.

NorrinRaddParticipantImo it’s just like you said, depends on the position of need… but I also would say that Dylan Harper is more ready now than Ace. Ace could be better for a short term tank and everything would even out career-wise anyways likely in a perfect scenario. Chances I say though they are the 2nd and 3rd pick.

HitsterParticipantI honestly think it comes down to whoever drafts 2nd and their needs. VJ could end up a better player than either of them for all we know. I’ve always had Dylan ahead so I’ll stick with him being picked first out of the duo.
What would be the consensus choice if the choice of one of these two fell to Utah or the Spurs so Ainge or Pops would be making the choice. Then you are talking about a top basketball brain?
