Evan_MilbergParticipantWatching this championship game, I’ve been really impressed with DiVincenzo. He’s really had his coming out party tonight. Obviously the scoring is impressive as well as his athleticism and grit. But what’s really caught my eye is his senior level leadership as a sophomore. What do you all think his NBA stock is now? I think at the very least, he’s gone from an off-the-radar role player to being into the conversation for 2019.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantHe’s gonna blow up next year. He’s really tough and smart player who just knows how to play. Exactly the type of player jay Wright has built his program around. He’s definitely in that josh hart, Jalen Brunson mold of player. While he won’t be a star at the next level, I have very few doubts he’ll be a solid role player in the nba for a long time.

mowestenParticipantProbably could play both guard spots a little, good off the bounce, good rebounder, good athlete, etc. Is tough, shows good leadership qualities. I don’t know, to me he’s at worst a guy who could earn a role on the back end of a bench.

CU.LIONSParticipantGood question and I’m glad someone started this thread. I for one would absolutely love him on Boston the fact that he can handle the ball or play off and shoot drive dribble and play defense. He seems to be just only coming onto his own. I also think another year of seasoning as the main go-to guy will only take his game up another level. just to make a comparison I like his game better than Grayson Allen who is considered a potential first-round pick.

holefillers1ParticipantVery clutch player. If he can tighten his handles and improve his play making I could see him going first round in 2019.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantJay Williams said he should turn pro. Micheal Wilborn asking who u prefer him or Trae Young. Folks in the Media need to stop wit the overhyped of these kids.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantThe Big Ragu!! He’s already 21. Next year his age could be a negative. But he’s A good shooter, athletic, defends and competitive. It wouldn’t hurt to get feedback on his draft stock from the opinions of those who really count.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantHe looked like a 1st rounder to me a couple games ago.
6’5 combo guards who can jump out of the gym, drain the 3, and defend don’t exactly grow on trees.
If Double D doesn’t get drafted, then you know racism is alive and well in America.

PureshooterParticipantLooks like an NBA player to me. No real holes in his game and he just lit up a top defense. At worst he is another Pat Connaughton.

kobyzParticipantReminds me a smaller Josh Richardson…

vulture711ParticipantDoes he check the boxes you would look for in a 2 guard ? Can shoot deep. Good size listed at 6-5 205. Is he quick enough ? Appeared to have some blow by speed on drives. Can he play D ? Probably better than JJ Redick. I don’t see him miraculously becoming a 1st rounder but for a team like Philly, he usually has multiple 2nds (which they waste on guys who’ll never play here) – why not ?
Is he any less of a prospect than TLC or Korkmaz?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/03/2018 - 2:50am #1114509
Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYes he is. I see him as a late first round pick. He can shoot and is really athletic. His defense is great and I love his hustle. He reminds me of Bob Sura or Quentin Ruchardson. I think hes more Q Rich. He may even be a late lotto if a GM falls in love. Not sure if he will leave because they have Jahvon Quinerly, Cole Swinder and Slater coming in next season. So they will prolly lose Bridges, Brunson and Spellman (Spellman stock cant get any higher).
0- Posted on: Tue, 04/03/2018 - 4:22am #1114514
kobyzParticipantHe’s a guard with handle, playmaking and iq, q-rich was just a scorer, so not very like the jordan of delaware, double d is a smaller josh richardson or an anthony parker clone…

khoss76ParticipantIf you analyse his production for such a good team, he’s a pretty interesting prospect.
High IQ, efficiency, good shooter, size, good passer, he may be less glamorous but more efficient than Trent, Walker or Zhaire Smith. A team searching for an immediate output pay prefer picking him.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantHe’s definitely a pro. Idk if he’ll come out this year or stay tho. If he comes out this year, I think he’ll get drafted in the early ro late 20’s and he’ll go to a good team where he can fit in and not HAVE to be the man. If he stays, he’ll be a NPOY contender and could increase his stock. I honestly want to see him stay and wreck next year. I like the kids game.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI think the Villanova program is in a spot where they are developing a lot of "win with" guys. This was quite probably the best team to win the NCAAs in the past decade. They certainly dominated their competition in a way that only the 2012 Kentucky team can really compete with. It is an impressive group. They are smart, athletic, skillful, and play extremely hard. Josh Hart might not be a guy to turn around the Lakers, but having a guy like him in the mix on a 30th in the draft salary slot for this and the next three years is really valuable in their rebuild. This team can fit that area. Bridges has the phyiscal makeup so that his upside is the greatest, but I wonder how he would translate to a less functional setup where not having a dominating persona can hold a guy back. I don’t think Brunson has prototypical point athleticism, but I do not doubt he will have a career. I have a sense DiVencenzo is probably a little bit smaller than his listed 6’5" 205 lbs. but his growth from year-to-year combined with more athleticism than he will be given credit for is not to be dismissed. Omari Spellman has that David West/Paul Millsap body and effort level, and already has a respectable shot for a big man. Like DiVincenzo, I also sense 6’9" might be a little ambitious, but that was also the case for Millsap and West. Also, while this was his first year playing at Villanova, his physical transformation from being over 300 lbs. to where he is now is impressive. Eric Paschall is probably in the Kris Jenkins category of not having an NBA position, but will do well overseas.

Andrew1984ParticipantHe reminds me of Tyler Johnson; tough, gritty, 6-4 combo guard, solid handle, defends, makes perimeter shots, plays with a high IQ, will get on the offensive glass but will also make a nice bounce pass to a backdoor cutter. They also kinda look alike, when Johnson is clean-shaven, anyway. I could see DiVincenzo carving out a similar career, playing meaningful minutes and accumulating some stats, but by no means a star.

Mr. 19134ParticipantIs he ever a prospect. Off the bench the guy avg 13 ppg, 5 rpg and 3.5 apg for the best team in the country and also shot 48% from 3 and 40% overall on good volume. He can get his shot off the dribble or the catch and is clearly a good playmaker and facilitator as evidenced by his apg and tape.
The real argument is whether Mikal Bridges is that much better a prospect then DD. I guarantee DD is going to put up better combine numbers and was officially measured at 6’6" in sneakers already so he has the size and skill to play 1-3.
You could’nt watch hit light up the best defense in the country on the NCAA Championship game and say his game doesn’t remind you a little of Paul George.
If he declares now he’s a first round lock and if he comes back next year he’s a potential top 10 pick. I’d say his floor is a better shooting Caris Levert.

RUDEBOY-ParticipantGood Call on Mikal Bridges. I think he’s going to blossom in the pros. Would be a top 5 pick in any other year!

Mr. 19134ParticipantBy the way let’s not act like this guy didn’t block somebodie’s shot into the side of the rim with his right hand then swing around while still in the air and try to block it back down out the rim with his left. I don’t think I ever saw that before. That was insane. Corey Brewer went top 10 largely based on his Final4 MVP and DD’s was even more impressive.

Memphis MadnessParticipantHe could be the next Jerry West.

Frusciante00ParticipantDirk Nowitzki could be a good one too…

KIP BallerParticipantHe has all the skills and athleticism as Dragic, who was all-nba 3rd team at one point. I like him a lot better then a number of guys I see on the mock drafts. Seems to be a solid reserve guard at worst.

BeastMode716Participanton the floor, blow by his man & attack the Rim off the Dribble
Every team in the NBA wants a guy like that & this kid is Ruff, Rugged & Raw at the Defensive end – he’s got Real Grit
How can Anyone rank Trae Young over that kid as a Pro prospect & if Grayson Allen is a late 1st round prospect than D
