Just got the measurements for @kporzee from @impactbball! 7’1.25″ w/out shoes, 7’6 wingspan, 230 lbs. Longest wingspan in the draft. He is taller than I though ,Hasheem Thabeet is listed 7’3 and he is7’1 w/o shoes for example

ExumInfernoParticipantA 7-3 small forward with three-point range, the top of the draft got extra interesting.
Imagine the 76ers with him at small forward and N Noel at power forward, nobody could get a shot up against that.
Still, those are not completely official numbers I assume. Anyway, 7-1 or 7-3, he is very tall.

bobbybParticipantUH OH , I think you threw a curse on Porz. You just compared him to Thabeet! IS he still in the league?

cycloParticipantThat’s 7’3" with shoes.
Don’t sell the Porz short. If other guys can add 2 inches in shoes, so can he.

shootingstar11ParticipantWinslow is measured @ 6’4.5″ without shoes, and claims himself to be 6’7″

cycloParticipantAnthony Brown is one of the worst offenders.
6’5.25" without shoes becomes 6’8.5" with shoes.
He must have prepared for the Draft with David Blaine.

Rip255I’m suss on a lot of guys who have short wingspans…I’m suspicious its often because they’ve exagerated their height.
Kevin Love famously wore 3 pairs of socks to his measurements.

ChicagoCaseyParticipantHe don’t claim himself as 6’7". The players don’t measure themself.
Typically if he had 2" shoes he would measure out 6’6.5" and most sites round up or round down.

shootingstar11Participantthis guy… w/ the length / wing span, athleticism, skillset… can easily be the best player out of this draft..

Captain LParticipantI love everything Iv’e seen about this kid except his strength and to me he looks like his shoulders are fairly wide which would lend to his being able to put on muscle/weight. If I were the Knicks I’d take at 4 if he doesn’t go before that.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI don’t know why but I’m always weary of guys over 7ft. Look at how many guys are successfull in the league at 7’1 7’2 or 7’3.. This is one of the reasons why I hated my Suns taking Len but he’s proved me wrong so far and if you have a Len with a jumper youre gold.

GrandmamaParticipantHe isn’t a center, so no reason to bring up Len.

Ebown5ParticipantThe problem is that people that are over 7ft tall are extremely rare. If you are 7’1 and can tie your shoes you will get a look by a lot of basketball programs. So you often just get guys with very low skills that get to the NBA purely on their size.
Porzingis is a very skilled basketball player. The fact that he is this tall and long is an added bonus to his game. It doesn’t define his worth.
His skill package would still be special if he was 6’10 with a 7ft wingspan, but the fact that he is much bigger than that is a huge thing for his potential.
Plus, he is already 230 pounds, which is still light for his size, but it shows that he can put on weight.
What I love about him, outside of his skills and size, is that he is a competetive and hard working kid. He claims that he is tough and can battle. That I still need to see, but he really is a compelling prospect.
As a Sixers fan, who hasnt fallen in love with Russell or Mudiay yet, I am very intrigued by Porzingis.

GrandmamaParticipantWow. I love his skill set. And with that size, he appears to be a future nightmare for opponents. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he becomes the best player from this class. He’s got more offensive upside than Towns. And with his height and athleticism, he should be fine defensively. Just needs to add strength like almost every other person his age.

TyroberParticipantPorzingis has really peaked my curiosty. His skilllset combined with his height is just amazing. It seems that if he were to have played college ball over here that he would be in the running for the #1 pick. Has so much potential to be great.
