I think these guys will be sleeper type players if they are drafted at their current spot in the mock draft.

    In no particular order:

Will Buford – IMO, this guy has been NBA material for a few years now.. Shocked he has never entered the draft before.  He will be a solid 2 guard in the league with some great athletic ability and solid offensive game. He can fit into almost any system.

Quincy Miller – I feel like college basketball has held Miller back a bit.. He has great legnth and ability but something seems to be missing.. If he can go to a coach that will push him or play with a great player that will push him, he will be really good.. He needs George Karl or Kobe Bryant.

Fab Melo – He is a big body and a servicable C.. As far as telanet goes, he is probably a second round pick but with the NBA having very few true centers, he could come in and play right away.. Someone will be happy they picked him.

Jae Crowder – What position does he play?? What is he best at?? Does he fit our team?? So many questions but I think he will force someone to give him a contract simply because he is a basketball player and he can do almost anything.  He doesnt fit the exact mold of a SF/PF but thats what he will play and he is sure to be a terror on the floor.

Good list, I agree with nearly all of your sleepers. Some personal sleepers of mine are

Tony Wroten at 26: He has freakish size (6-6 205) and athleticism for a point guard. He got to the rim practically at will and is pretty good at finishing and he has great passing ability. I can see why he’s kind of low though because he’s turnover prone and has no jump shot whatsoever. Based on his potential though, I wouldn’t surprised to go late lottery or soon thereafter.

Festus Ezeli at 34: With the number of true centers dwindling and the need for big men that can bang inside increasing, Festus should be a 1st round pick. He is 6-11 255 and has good strength and athleticism. His season was a bit of a disappointment, but he finished strong his last 3 games averaging 13 pts 9 boards and 2 blocks.

Rodney Williams at 48: I already made a forum about how much I love this guys game. He is a hell of an athlete, has good defensive potential, and is remarkably efficient (57 percent) and has good shot selection. His perimeter skills need some work, but I think if he were to declare he should be at least 10 spots higher.

    Good post but:

"He is a hell of an athlete, has good defensive potential, and is remarkably efficient (57 percent) and has good shot selection. His perimeter skills need some work, but I think if he were to declare he should be at least 10 spots higher."

To be fair this is really skewed. He plays in the post for the Gophers and usually takes most of his shots in the paint, but it’s still a very good number. The second thing is he doesn’t need work on perimeter skills, he needs perimeter skills period. He’s a JR and still can’t shoot or handle anywhere near an NBA level. I doubt that will improve in one year, especially when he’s playing mostly down low.

Yeah I’m aware of that but his efficiency can be attributed to knowing his strengths as a player and knowing which shots to take, which I’m sure all NBA teams would appreciate. You must admit though, that shooting over 70 percent from the field in three of his last four games is pretty impressive nonethless.

Future  I like your second round pick of this guy O’Quinn going to the Knicks he is a native of New York as you know would make perfect sense if they took him.He has a nice mid range game plus is a good weak side shot blocker all he needs to work on is his perimeter game beyond 15 ft and his foul shooting.

I’m not knocking that. It’s very very impressive, but it’s something that won’t translate at the next level where he’ll be forced to play out on the wing.

Wroten, Ross, Lorenzo Brown, Royce White, Teague, Buford, Crowder, Barton, Machado, Bost, Tyshon Taylor.

    All undervalued on the mocks.

PIERRE JACKSON! not on 2012 or 2013 currently!

He is the key to Baylor’s engine!

    Good call on that, Dave.

If the vastly inferior athlete in DJ Augustin goes top 10 then Pierre Jackson should easily go round 1 (he’s about 2 inches smaller; das it).

That guy can be an instant offense player for a team in the NBA.. I remember that WVU had Baylor beat until he started playing well..

That kid can ball… Mo Williams or Nate Robinson type player..

     Marquis Teague:

    16.6 PPG

    6.0 APG

    3.0 RPG

    2.3 TO’s per

    Tournament numbers.

His stock has to be rising.

     Yea Dale and Future,

I think people are sleeping heavily on Pierre Jackson.

I mean the guy is the:

    Leading scorer

    Leading assist man

    First in steals

    2nd in 3’s behind Heslip

And 1st in rebounds amongst all guards on the team!

I know he’s 5’8 or 5’9 but he has heart, speed and quickness and explosiveness you just can’t teach.

And the fact that he was thrown into the fire(Most JUCO transfers take a full year to learn a system) his first year makes him even more intriguing to me.

Andrew Nicholson – Dude has NBA size and is extremely skilled, he’s only average athletically, but he’s insanely long to make up for it.   He reminds me of later career Lamar Odom, when he became more of a rebounder and versitile post player and hung up his point forward shoes.

Kim English – Of anyone who played on Missouri this year, I feel English has the most pro potential.  I’ve said it all year and he can guard a point guard or Perry Jones III and hold his own.  He’s also improved his shot this season and his range.  This guy is going to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the league when he gets used to the NBA game.

Tony Wroten: 6"5 Point Guard great passer and can finish in the lane really well. He should go to the Spurs because they’re great at developing young talent and they may be able to fix his jumper like Kawhi Leonard’s.

Marquis Teague: Many wrote him off for having a very disappointing regular season. But he showed flashes of brilliance in the tourney, anyone needing a PG should look at him late in the First Round (Lakers)

Fab Melo: He’s 7 feet and was the defensive anchor of the Syracuse team. He still young and anyone who needs a center (Celtics or Heats) should draft him.

Dion Waiters: Many write him off because he’s a 6"4 SG but I like the Dwyane Wade comparisons and any team needing a perimeter scorer should look at him. (Magics)

There is a name among sleepers that draftniks need to remember say hello to Kyle O’Quinn of Norfolk St a 6-10 240 power forward. He led the Spartans to a first round upset over Missouri in the NCAA tournament 86-84 establishing game highs of 26 points and 14 rebounds. He was the recipient of the Lou Henson award given to the nation’s best player from a mid-major conference and he beat out Doug McDermott of Creighton a finalist for the Naismith trophy given to the nation’s top individual player. He will put his talents on display next month at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

There is another individual that has NBA type athleticism to play at the next level meet and greet Cor-J Cox a 6-5 205 SG from Mississippi Valley St.He showed his leaping ability game vs Texas Southern in a dunk that made the ESPN Top 10 Sports Center highlights.

Sorry but I don’t think Quicy Miller is quite ready, whether his physical ability, skills, or mentality. He isn’t really atheletic in NBA level so if he wants to have a spot on NBA team at this point, he needs to at least show some daminance in NCAA and have a polished offensive weapon (his jump shot probably)

Kevin Jones.  He’s really similar to Jared Sullinger in almost every aspect of his game except he’s a little weaker physically.  His midrange shot is pretty nice, he has solid post game, and is a great rebounder.  I think he’s a first round talent.
