Do you guys know if Russel Westbrook has any good nicknames?

I’m not sure that he really has a nickname at all(not including Russ as a nickname).
Jalen Rose wants to give him the nickname "furious styles" because of his furious style both on and off the court. Even tough it’s a fitting nickname i don’t consider it a good nickname for him, we need something extra, and i would like to hear what you people think.

    Slightly relevant:
I think that one of the best and unfortunately rarely used micknames are "Slim Reaper" for Kevin Durant, it sounds cool and it just fits his persona,

Personally I don’t think he needs one. We’ve all become obsessed with giving nicknames to these star players even when they don’t fit.

Shaq kept changing his, KD hates all the ones people gives him. If a nickname fits then it fits, "King" James is fine. CP3 is a great one that fits. Boogie Cousins got his from a coach at UK.

Overall I guess I’m saying is I can’t think of a nickname nor do I think its necessary.

Nicknames like Slim Reaper, (KD) the Mailman, (Malone) the Butler, (Kukoc) are fun but not very useable. You can’t actually use these monikers when speaking about the player in a conversation. Maybe it’s just me, but if someone said to me, ‘did you see that shot Slim Reaper made last night?’, I’d cringe just a little bit.

As boring as it may seem, nicknames like TMac, CP3, D-Wade, Russ are just much more useable. In soccer, the best players go by one name and that’s how basketball tends to work as well. You pick the most distinct name whether that be the first name or the last name. i.e Lebron, Bird.

But in the spirit of the thread, I think Westbrook could go by: (1) Russlentless- a play on relentless, which defines his style of play. (2) R-Dubs- a play on his initials. (3) the Highlander- I just could see him being in that series yelling, ‘there can be only one highlander!!!!’, before killing the other guy.

In soccer, SOME players go by first name (mostly Brazilians and Portuguese). It’s easier to remember, since there are so many players. Still most important players have a nickname (never chosen by themselves).

I was asking myself the same for a while now and since he had the mask, this crossed my mind:

    http://youtu.be/UQakz9-kvfI

I fell in love with Westbrooks aggrassiveness since day one and DangerDoom describes just what he is, the most dangerous weapon you can ask for.

If the Link doesn’t work, search youtube for Danger Doom – (MF Doom and Danger Mouse) – the Mask

He should steal Russ Smith’s nickname.  Russdiculous.  Sounds corny but I kinda got use to it and started to like it.  Stuff he does on the court is absolutely ridiculous.

     Russell and Flow.

Dr. Thunder.  A takeoff of Dr. J (best nickname ever) and the fact he plays for the Thunder.

Too bad the franchise isn’t still in Seattle.  Russell "Super Sonic" Westbrook would be a cool nickname.

Using Russell again, what about Russvegas?  The first round of the playoffs could be billed as Golden State vs. Russvegas.  Or, the Russvegas Thunder.

There must be something to link a name like Westbrook with Oklahoma the Sooner State but I cannot get anything that sounds right.

The last decent nickname I came up with for a player must have been around 2006/07 when on another forum I started calling Greg Oden G-OD as he was seen as a potential franchise saviour and was the 2nd coming of a great big man. Sadly that never worked out.
