mrwehbeParticipantSection 16 (ii) allows the team to terminate a contract if a physical attack is committed to any official or employee of the team.

OhCanada-ParticipantProbably a terrible thing to say on my part but thats a big blow to most of my fantasy teams. Just being honest. Looks like Markannen is gonna get more minutes than he can handle.

ChrispyParticipantDime is reporting that Mirotic has 2 broken bones in his face. Yikes.

cohenbc1ParticipantCutting him would help with the tanking … he has a nice contract but if Markkanen is the future at PF, Portis is expendable.

HitsterParticipantIf the Bulls are in full tank mode then I guess they may see what they could get for Portis, he has a nice rookie contract and could play useful bench minutes for a team looking for extra frontcourt depth.
There could be a few red flags over Portis with this incident but I think the Bulls would look to get something in return rather than terminating him.
A team like GSW or Spurs with late lottery pick might look at him for example.

cohenbc1ParticipantThere is no way Popovich or Kerr would trade for a player who broke his teammate’s face.
The only way that there’s any market whatsoever for Portis is if the team that acquires him can waive him and get salary relief.
It’s just an especially bad look for Portis in that he injured the guy who beat him out for a starting position. Unless Mirotic was being a huge asshole and everyone on the team saw that, I don’t see how the Bulls can keep Portis on the team.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantKerr does have experience being on the end of a teammate’s punch.
Also, I am quite certain Jerry Stackhouse punching Christian Laettner actually extended his career.

BeastMode716Participantpotentially take Mirotic’s job at Power Forward
Mirotic was Jawing about no chance we Tanking for that #1 pick
And Portis said to Mirotic "If u played Any defense at all maybe we would not have to draft BPA!"
Mirotic stepped to Portis & Portis 2 pieced Mirotic & put him to sleep
As Mirotic was sleeping on the Bull’s hardwood practice facility floor
Bobby Portis stood over him, hand on crouch and Yelled:
"Dream about D’ing somebody up & Euro-step DEEZ NUTZ!"

sheltwon3ParticipantIt appears that a lot of people missed what happened in the report. It said Mirotic charged him twice. It sounds like self defense to me. I bet you Mirotic will not run up on somebody so quick now. Portis let him do it twice before he acted was better restraint than I would have shown.

The GoatParticipantHe got knocked the fffck out!
Maybe Portis can go to Boston. That’d actually be a great fit for both.

BallerScriptParticipantMy thoughts exactly. Portis was the guy I wanted Boston to take at 16 originally.
