its been said that the blazers will let him go. Getting cut by a team is usually a bad thing, but this is a blessing in disguise for Mills because portlant has 3 pgs all a head of him on the depth chart.

Now that he can go to a new team, who will be looking for him? I think Miami, New York, or Phoenix should pick him up, would fit well with any of those teams.

Well he should of stayed at St. Marys another year. He most likely would have been player of the year and they had a good shot of dethroning Gonzaga for the Wcc crown while leading them to the Ncaa tournment. Mills draft stock went down after his injury and the fact he really never returned to his old form and he’s a undersized pg. He could have went first round this year with the pg position not as stacked.

Mills should have stayed in school hopefully he catches on with some team. Lakers could use him.

I hear you guys, he was only a sophomore too, he should have stayed at least one more. If he is committed to playing in the NBA this season, I bet he ends up in the D-League somewhere, but if not, I think he will go overseas.

He’s way better than that! what are his flaws? 3 pt shooting?
I know durability has been an issue but c’mon He would be great in Philadelphia (Jrue Holiday yuk >:P)

Yea he should’ve stayed at St. Mary’s or declared as a freshman at the height of his stock, but I think he could stick with a team like the Wizards.

very talented..prob headed overseas..the problem that teams have with him is his ability to play the pg as a passing pg instead of a shooting pg…lakers picking him up wont happen unless they need a practice playing since they have 3 pg already( yeah fisher has lost some steps but hes still a better pg and proven pg then mills is)..i dont think gettign cut from a nba team is ever a bad thing..that actually boost youre payy when you go overseas..even if you arent really that good teams see that resume saying( cut during training camp for so and so nba team) and you can get 6 figures or over. and if you actually played in the nba whew..you can start out at a good 500k-to a mill even if you come and arent better then some other guy on youre teams whos putting up better stats

I don’t know why Portland did this. Nothing against Mills but not counting him we already have three point guards. He was out the whole summer league so we didn’t get a chance to see what he can actually do against nba players even if its just summer league.

“we didn’t get a chance to see what he can actually do against nba players even if its just summer league.”

      Yes we did
we saw him lead Australia in scoring during the olympics.
I heard Kobe and CP3 have told him to use that experience
as knowledge that he can play with the big boys (I heard it while watching
      a St. Mary’s game)

IMPO he is a SG that has the potential to become a true pass-first PG
      because of his athleticism

going based off olympics + potential Rubio got drafted didn’t he?

you cant go off olympics..rubio was drafted off potenial as well as playing on a perfesional level..in the olympic you can be a college player and play for youre country and if yure countries team is horrible then you can look unstoppable..if teams picked players off of olympics then alot more euros would have gotten signed..the thing wit patty is he can score but hes not the type of pg that racks up assist or make others better because hes so used tojut being a scorer. he has the potenial to change that but we shall see if he does

I lived in the San Jose area last year
    I’ve seen the guy play
    and PS
Australia only lost by 11 pts to the USA and Patty did alright 13 points against Deron Williams, CP3, and Jason Kidd
    as a 20 yo

not 2 shabby IMPO and ur right he does have the potential to be a good PG
    IMPO because
he has a pretty consistent jump shot already

good pick up potential-wise by the Blazers IMO

but that means nadda…arroyo lit up the usa and other guards have but the nba is alot different then playing in the olympics..less place less structure alot easier to score.. ps im not sure if you skipped math but 116-85 isnt a 11point loss

Mills play in the NBA b4 u start saying this and that PLZ

PS I don’t know if u skipped the Olympics but here’s a recap SIR:

Mills was a member of the Australian squad that gave the USA Basketball team its closest tune-up game of the summer before the Beijing Olympics. The USA National team beat Australia 87-76 in its exhibition game in Shanghai, China. Australia’s star player, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Andrew Bogut, did not play because of a sore right ankle. Mills, the youngest player on the floor, was impressive as he added 13 points for the Australian squad.

PSS I never skipped math math skipped me o.0

thats a tune up game..lol..check out when they played in the olympics….i dont need to see him play in the nba to know hes not a passing pg..thats pretty much common knowledge..not only cfan you see it by watching but its been said by just about every scout..was said while in college..was said when he played in the free agent camp over in europe before the draft( checkout hoopsworld.com and hoopshype.com…like i said playing well in the olympics doesnt translate to playing well in the nba..common knowledge…and you notice you said he score this amount of points?..and what has been told to be his weakness????..passing and settin gpeople up..so his assist numbers were………………………..exactly
