Knicksboy34ParticipantPippen would have been a better version of Artest. He was a good scorer and defender

maravich44ParticipantAs an avid Bulls fan, I watched him play for many years. He was an unbelievable defensive player who could guard four postions. A very good rebounder, passer and a shooter with good range. Pippen was the ultimate Robin to Jordan’s Batman. He wasn’t best equipped to play the leading man, instead he became the best 2nd fiddle of modern times. He was a perfect compliment to MJ, giving the Bulls the best tandem of wings in NBA history. Jordan deseredly got the headlines and accolades, but the Bulls wouldn’t have won a single title without Scottie Pippen, who truly was a complete player. He not only had a great verticle, he seemingly stayed in the air longer than anyone I’ve ever seen. It was like watching someone levitate. Unbelievable. Yes, he would thrive today and in any era. He would blow Artest (a very good player) out of the water.
