dougieboyParticipantConsidering the following criteria how do you rank the top 10 NBA players all-time: Championships, accolades, stats, pure basketball ball skills, ability to make others on team better, clutchness, willingness to sacrifice personal stats or accolades for team results.

nthegoodlifeParticipantBut many of these people on here, will already put LeBron on that list.

mikeyvthedonParticipant1) Michael Jordan
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Shaquille O’Neal
4) Bill Russell
5) Wilt Chamberlain
6) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
7) Tim Duncan
8) Larry Bird
9) Oscar Robertson
10) Magic JohnsonHarder to rank a top 10 than it used to be, and it almost seems crazy to put some of these guys as low as I did, but times will be changing and as time goes on, a top 10 might not be enough to list all the players that have played this game so well.

NYK2010Participant1) Michael Jordan – he did it all & won with avg. centers, might’ve won 2-3 more rings if not for 2 retirements.
2) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – longevity, great sky hook, dominated late in his career too.
3) Bill Russell – always won even if he played with so many hall of famers 11 championships.
4) Magic Johnson – 5 NBA championships, numerous Finals appearances, best PG ever.
5) Wilt Chamberlain – before my time but a very dominant big man could score & rebound w/ anyone.
6) Larry Bird – cold blooded shooter, very clutch player, went up against some of the greatest teams ever.
7) Hakeem Olajuwon – All-time leader in blocks, great 2 way player, played in a tough era w/Magic, Bird, MJ dominating.
8) Tim Duncan – big fundamental 4 rings, did everything well underrated jump shot, passer,.
9) Shaquille O’Neal – most dominant big man, you had to double team him & was a very good shot blocker, passer.
10) Kobe Bryant – great closer, tough to contain, great shooter, maybe gets another championship. You can argue Shaq or Duncan both have 4 rings but I like Duncans overall game, his jump shot, ft shooting & defense.
Guys like LeBron/Wade others might crack the top 10 but it takes many years and usually numerous championships too.0 - Posted on: Fri, 06/26/2009 - 2:22pm #172061
HaleParticipantI think ranking the top 10 of all time is impossible due to all the different eras. Maybe it should be the top 10 players of the last 20 years instead? I think that is a little easier to make a list for.
