Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI’ve been critical of him in the past. I thought Cleveland was absolutely crazy for drafting him fourth in 2011, as he was undersized with very little offensive game. However, he has been absolutely brilliant in this series and other than lebron is really the biggest reason why Cleveland won.
Coming into this series, I thought Chicago would have a gigantic edge in the post, but Thompson almost singlehandedly negated that with his hustle, offensiverebounding, energy and post defense. There were stretches of this series where he seemingly either gathered or tipped the ball to a teammate on every shot Cleveland missed. It was almost sad watching gasol and Noah attempt to keep him off the glass (no chance).
I don’t think he’ll ever be much of an offensive threat, although he is very good at finishing around the basket. However, the more I watch him play, the bigger fan I’m becoming. Sometimes you just need guys to do the dirty work, and he is definitely one of those guys. I think he might be playing his way into a very nice payday.

nick5354ParticipantIn College he was an offensive beast and ha continued in the NBA.
One of my favourite players now. There was one time in the game where he honestly out rebounded 4 bulls to get the offensive board. That play sums up how good he is on the offensive boards.
TT is going to get paid big time just because of the amount of second chance points and how much he fights for your team.

phila9012ParticipantI think he is suited to play the role he does on Cleveland as the 3rd bigman playing 24 to 28 mins a night. If he is your top bigman you are in trouble. He is a perfect fit for the role he plays on Cleveland. I think he is worth 10 to 12 million especially with the cap going way up. The cavs have a nice 8 man rotation when love is back. Delladova is a solid back up PG/SG especially playing off ball if LeBron or kyrie is handling it. For a team we thought would have a few holes there really aren’t many especially if everyone is healthy. I could easily see them winning 2 titles in the next 4 years. If Kyrie is able to play they will probably make the finals this year.

Yep and they were in trouble when he was the starter, shooting 46-47% FG.
Now as an off ball role player, when there’s elite on ball players, he’s a great fit, efficient, winning basketball.
Could still be a frontcourt partner for a guy like cousins, off ball double doubles, but that’s it.
Or between okafor and melo in a knicks team…
He’s an energy guy in the mold of farried, farried got paid big bucks in a losing team with a lot of mid tiers =fail.
Maybe he’ll develop a bit of a touch, he’s better than he was in the paint, maybe a 14 foot jumper at some point in his career.
Saw him many times with jordan hamilton and cory joseph at texas, tought he would be a better, defender, team defender and especially shot blocker, than he is, i expected him to be in the 1,3-1,5 range in the nba, never cracked 1.
One argument for his next contract, he didn’t miss a game since february 2012, reliable workhorse.

Mr. HookShotParticipantI agree, he might be a good fit for the Kings indeed. If he can expand his shot a little bit so he doesn’t clog the lane he will be the high-energy, scrappy guy the Kings need next to Cousins.

TheLastWordParticipantHis TS% quietly rose to a career high 58% this year. Obviously Lebron helped him get more open looks. I don’t think he gets maxed but 14 million a year is possible

Jr. ROXASParticipantHis intensity and game reminds me of Kenyon Martin’s, Decent jumpshot but very athletic and active on the O. boards.
