When I mean what’s up, I mean, how come they are sitting there instead of making some moves? This roster is probably the all potential roster you would want but…it’s just not there. The pieces don’t fit and someone in Phildelphia should say something about it. Here’s my idea of what the Philadelphia 76ers should do.

Trade #1: Evan Turner, Thad Young, Andres Nocioni, Jason Kapono and Darius Songila for Carmelo Anthony, Aaron Affalo and Chris Anderson

Why? If your Denver, getting Evan Turner and Thad Young is a steal for Melo IMO. Combine that with the fact that you will have a combined 26 million dollars off the books in free agency in 2011 (K-Mart, Songalia and Kapono), and you still keep Billups as a potential move piece if wanted to. For Philly, you get a superstar that oddly fits the city. You don’t have to give up a 1st round pick but if you wanted to sweeten the pot, throw one in.

Trade #2: Andre Iguadala for James Harden, Nenad Kristic, 2012 1st round pick and Eric Maynor

Why? For Oklahoma City, you get Iggy who fits OKC to the T. He’s a great defender and fits the slasher mold that Kevin Durant doesn’t have. Durant is more of a shooter and Iggy would warrant single coverage alot with Westbrook and Durant. For Philly, you get cap space and Kristic, Harden is still a potential 3rd man. I like the way he played recently and his defensive ability is improving. Maynor could be the backup for Holiday

Trade #3: Lou Williams for Carl Landry

Why? For Philadelphia, I understand your probably not getting the most for him BUT Carl Landry as a bench player was awesome for the Rockets. I believe he could help the Sixers frontcourt. For Sacramento, you get a PG who can score and allow Evans to be the man with the ball in his hands.

Philadelphia goes from the awkward line they have now to

    Holiday-Harden-Anthony-Brand-Hawes

    Landry-Anderson-Affalo-Spieghts

With that, I believe that would put the 76ers from a potential bottom playoff team TO probably a top 3 seed WITH the ability to be good post lockout. Thoughts?

No he is not….he’s not a winnning basketball player at all for them. It’s best if they move on and get a real backup point guard. I’m not saying Maynor is better then Williams but, I rather have Maynor as my backup point guard.

Disagree, I think Maynor is a very good backup PG. Because Westbrook plays alot…we don’t get to see that.

The only downside to that OKC deal is: it almost throws Aldrich into the flame. They been trying to protect him but that move would make him the starter I beleive.

The only one that I would agree with is the 1st but I would do just Turner,Kapono,& Noccioni for Melo. If the sixers get Melo than iggy stays cause iggy is a number 23 guy hes a scottie type player. & that last trade does nothing for the sixers they already have undersized powerfoward the dont need more. But Holiday,Iggy,Melo,Brand,Hawes could be a really nice line-up not a title contender but sixers probley would win a playoff series with them.
