I actually would take Mike D’Antoni out and replace him with Jim Boeheim.

    1. Pop
    2. K.C. Jones
(These just correspond to my two all-time favorite teams).
    3. Bobby Knight (as a teenager I liked his whole, “I want to win so bad I might kill a man with my bare hands” shtick, but later I realized he’s kind of a dick).
    4. Phil Jackson (in my 20s I liked his whole, “I’m a Buddhist, I make my players read books” shtick, but later I realized he’s kind of a dick).
    5. Don Nelson
    6. Larry Brown
(I liked them both for that whole “I’m a mad genius, the Van Gogh of basketball” thing).
    7. Steve Kerr (the most Pop-like of all Pop disciples).
    8. Larry Bird (my favorite player so of course I loved him as a coach).
    9. Doc Rivers (just seems like a really good guy).
    10. Paul Westhead (gets the nod over D’Antoni because he was D’Antoni first and on steroids, and that Loyola-Marymount year).
