European BasketballerParticipantI have another player that I wonder about as to why he never appears in any of these mock drafts and somehow it seems the NBA has never heard of him………..
Facundo Campazzo. This is by far and away the best player in all of Latin America in his age group, and yet he never once appears anywhere on a mock draft and never once is ever mentioned as even being a possibility for the NBA draft.
Again, there is something very strange about this whole way that NBA teams do this draft………….

ProudGrandpaParticipant1) He’s 5’11” (if that)
2) He’s not particularly fast or athletic
3) He’s not a particularly good shooter
4) He’s never been mentioned anywhere on this entire website before except by yourself(Thank you, Google)

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantLike do you really think if the NBA has found out about someone like Giannis in this current draft they haven’t looked in every proper place to find NBA talent elsewhere in the world?

European BasketballerParticipantNo one from the NBA scouted Giannis until I started posting about him here.

qDizzle32ParticipantI’d love to see your mock draft Mr EB. I’m sure Giannis Adetoukbo would be #1 in this guys mock draft anyway.

King CaluchaParticipantI think he can become a very good player for european leagues… similar to Prigioni or Huertas (who I think arevery good PG’s). Maybe if he performs well in Europe, he could be considered for a NBA draft. At the moment, he’s not even close.
PS: I’m southamerican… so you can’t say I’m racist =)

European BasketballerParticipantBoth Prigioni and Huertas could easily start in the NBA. And Prigioni proved that by starting at the end of the season and in the playoffs with the Knicks at age 36, about 3 years after he was well past his prime in Euroleague.
Huertas is better than most NBA starting point guards.
So if Campazzo could be similar to them, then he should definitely be a first round draft pick.

King CaluchaParticipantBoth Prigioni and Huertas have very good size (6’3”).
Prigioni started having solid numbers in Europe when he was around 28. I agree that Huertas is a great player and could have been a starting PG in the NBA under the right circumstances. I don’t agree with the statement that he’s “better than most starting point guards”… that sounds a little too biased, but of course, I respect your opinion.I think he’s a better passer and playmaker than most starting PG’s in the NBA, which is a totally different thing. However, the skillset he displays better suited for international basketball. In the NBA he could average 9apg (like Greivis Vasquez) and still not be fully recognized, because he lacks lateral quickness to defend elite NBA point guards.

“he lacks lateral quickness to defend any and every point guard in Euroleague.”
There, now your statement is correct.
