As a Jazz fan, I’ve watched the Jazz here. They don’t have a ton of money and are well into the luxury tax. They need another wing defender and possibly another backup PG. I DO NOT think they are taking a young player. Reports are that really only Dennis Lindsay was high on Udoka so that was a wasted pick :(. I hated that pick at the time and it somehow looks worse now but whatever. But the Jazz need wing defenders. SO: Trey Murphy III, Herbert Jones, Aaron Henry. I don’t care which one really, but they SHOULD BE taking one of these 3 unless someone they just really like and had like in the lottery and still helps their team now is there. Now Miles McBride also fits the Jazz DNA really, really well. 6’2, with a 6’8 wingspan. Scrappy in your face defender. I personally think this pick is going to be really difficult. It would help if they had Bane, Flynn, or McDaniels, which AMAZINGLY were the 3 guys I was hoping the Jazz would take and then all 3 go right after. But given their defensive issues along the wing, I think they go wing defender here. Trey Murphy is the worst defender of the 3 and the advanced stats show he isn’t the best defender either and tbh I think Virginia’s scheme helped him. I hope I’m wrong because he would fit great with the Jazz but I’m passing here.

My Pick is Herbert Jones. He’s an NBA level athlete, can shoot better than Henry, and Herb was one of the best defenders in college basketball period. Really hard worker. Great dude. I think he’d fit perfect and if I’m the Jazz gm, I’m taking Herb Jones. I know its a bit of a reach. But to me he screams of this year’s Xavier Tillman where he just falls way to far in the draft and is a contributor to a playoff team. The Jazz don’t really have money to get that wing defender in FA. I don’t think a Conley/Kuzma sign and trade is the answer, but yeah. I think Herb Jones is the pick. But watch for Miles McBride if he falls, which I really don’t think he does at this point.

Miles Mcrbride. However I do think Murphy, Henry or Jones would be great fits here and seem like a Jazz pick.

I’m going with McBride since he is currently there in my mock. They have a tough choice in a lot of prospects to choose from here.

Wieskamp! Maybe 🤔 they look for a backup point guard McBride, Cooper,David Johnson (who I think will be better than his draft spot. My favorite point guard prospect is Jason Preston, a mini version of LaMelo!?

I think he could go in the first round too. I just don’t think the Jazz take him. Maybe they do but I just doubt it.

Well not what I would prefer but McBride was a close 2nd or 3rd for the Jazz for me, and I have him way higher than 30 on my big board. In fact he was BPA for me. So i can’t really complain.
